“Sarang and Zayren. Jaeyoung. And… and that unborn child my sister is carrying.” Jiyeon’s body shook violently as the weight of her actions crashed down on her.

“Jiyeon,” her father said calmly, stepping closer. “You don’t need to worry about that. Sarang would never have been happy with Zayren. I saw it in her eyes the day Zayren divorced you. She wanted to leave him. Zayren dragged her between you both.”

He paused, his voice firm. “Sarang is my daughter. That’s why I made that decision. Yes

“Nice to meet you, Miss Gomez,” Sarang replied, steadying herself.“Aera, I’m Nic’s fiancée. Could you please leave us alone?” Zayra asked. Sarang nodded immediately and turned to leave, but her phone vibrated at that moment. Zayra was standing near the table, and she picked up the phone, glancing at the screen.“Nic, I think you should let her go. She has to go home,” Zayra said casually. Sarang frowned in confusion as Zayra handed her the phone back. Her eyes fell on the message from the school, informing her that her son had been dropped off. She hadn’t noticed the time... school was already over. Reynez would be home alone, waiting.“My son will be alone. I... I have to go, sir,” Sarang said hurriedly. Zayra glanced at her fiancé, who seemed to be taking too long to respond.“But... ”“But what? Can’t you hear that her son will be alone?” Sarang heard Zayra scolding him in a low whisper.“You can go, Aera. Moreover, we’re going on a date, so you don’t have to worry,” Zayra said wi

The next morning arrived quietly, sunlight slipping in through the curtains as Sarang helped get her son ready for school. Reynez had been awake since dawn, his laughter filling the house, his small feet barely touching the floor as he bounced around in uncontrollable excitement. Every little thing thrilled him... the uniform, the shoes, the bag... while Sarang followed him with gentle hands and a soft smile, even as her chest felt tight from the lingering unease of the dream she had seen the night before. She tried to shake it off, focusing instead on the warmth of her son’s happiness. “Are you really that excited, Rey?” Jaeyoung asked, adjusting his tie as he prepared for the office, watching the child with faint amusement. “Yes, papa, I’m very very happy,” Reynez replied, giggling as if joy itself couldn’t stay contained inside him. Sarang smiled at the sight, her heart swelling and aching at the same time, fear quietly coiling beneath her happiness. “Okay then let’s go, it’s al

Meanwhile, Zayren was inside his bedroom, throwing his clothes into a travel bag with restless urgency. He didn’t want to waste a single moment... not now, not when he was so close. He was going to find Sarang, and more importantly, the child she had taken from him. The child who should have grown up knowing his father. The child she had snatched away, leaving him to drown alone in unanswered questions and endless nights. For years, he had lived with that pain, and now… now it was her turn to feel it. A knock echoed through the room, breaking his thoughts. When the door opened, his mother stood there with a plate of food in her hands, her eyes already filled with concern. “I heard you haven’t had dinner yet,” Mrs. Kim said softly. “It’s late, son. When will you start eating on time?” Zayren clenched his jaw, irritation flaring instantly. “Mrs. Kim,” he snapped, “I’ve told you many times... you don’t need to worry about me. I’m not a child anymore.” She sighed, shaking her head as

“We’ve been trying our best, sir. There isn’t a single record of Cheon Sarang… or Kim Sarang,” the man said, his head bowed low. He was too afraid to look at the person in front of him... someone whose rage could burn a man alive. Zayren let out a slow, dangerous breath before rising from his chair. “Four years,” he said coldly. “You wasted more than four years and you’re telling me she doesn’t exist?” The man flinched. “S-sir, we are trying, but… but it’s as if the woman never existed. What if she’s no long ali... ” He never got to finish. Zayren’s hand wrapped around his throat in a flash, lifting him off the ground. The man gasped, his feet kicking helplessly as his face slowly turned pale. “I didn’t pay you to give me theories,” Zayren hissed, his eyes burning with fury. “If you can’t do your job properly, get the hell out of my sight.” He released him without mercy. The man collapsed to the floor, coughing violently, struggling to breathe. “Mr. Kim.” Zayren turned sharply.

Sarang was running behind the little figure, smiling as she listened to the soft giggles echo through the room. She finally caught him, lifting him into her arms and looking down at the little troublemaker of her life. Her son... Reynez. “Caught you, Rey! Yay, mamma wins,” Sarang laughed, watching him puff his cheeks into a tiny pout. “Now drink your milk before it gets cold, okay?” she coaxed gently. The four-year-old nodded, still pouting, and let her feed him for a few sips before pushing the glass away. “Enough, mamma. I don’t like milk,” Reynez complained, making Sarang sighed helplessly. “Listen to your mamma, Rey.” The familiar voice made the little boy turn around instantly. His eyes lit up when he saw his father standing there. He jumped down and ran straight to him, and Jaeyoung lifted him effortlessly into his arms. “Appa!” Reynez squealed. Sarang stood up, smiling softly at the sight. “Reynez, come here,” she opened her arms. But Reynez shook his head stubbornly.

So don’t blame yourself for anything.” Jiyeon shook her head, tears falling freely. “No,” she whispered. “I won’t listen to that.” She clenched her fists. “I didn’t think about Sarang before. I was blinded by hatred. But now I know. Now I realize how much pain I gave her… to my own sister?!” She turned abruptly. “I’ll meet Sarang. I’ll apologize for everything I did. I can’t... ” Her father grabbed her wrist, stopping he
