Fiona's pov

The chamber door was wide. I should have knocked. But I heard moaning that drew me.

“Logan,” I muttered to my self, stepping inside.

What I saw rooted me to the stones.

Amaiya straddled him, naked, lips crushing his. Their bodies tangled in a fever of sweat and gasps, his hands clutching her breast as though she were life itself.

My throat closed, my chest hollowed out. Tears came before I could stop them, hot and heavy. He broke me with every sound, every movement, every lie undone in one sight.

“Amaiya…” he groaned into her mouth, not even seeing me. Not even knowing I stood there, watching him give himself away.

I stumbled back, hand over my mouth to smother the cry clawing its way out. The chamber spun open. My heart screamed louder than any war-horn.

He was mine. He had sworn it in blood, in vows, in the way he looked at me when he first opened his eyes again. Yet here he was, drowning in her heat, blind to the world.

I ran.

Down the stair, through the silent corridor

Logan's povI felt terrible, hurting the woman I casted decade ago. The woman who my heart love now. Amaiya had drugged me with aphrodisiacs which boiled my hormones. How dare she? Thinking of what and how to humiliate her an swim my Fiona back, might make the pack assume I'm the real devil they all talked about. She'd stood beside me, treated me, cared for me and never allowed me get bullied in packs. And what could I offer her in return?Amaiya. She came into my life and everything shattered. The son, our son. Who she claimed it's mine, stayed in room and played with children in the pack daily. We have no connections. I wondered how some whispers says he look like me.How do I get back my Fiona. First I need to find the same man, same alpha Amaiya had eloped with years back. Enough of Amaiya and her manipulations. Now Serena is no more attacking me lonely but her friendship with Fiona isn't what I understood clearly.Did she planned all of these? Should I approach her first? The d

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Burning

Fiona's povThe chamber was lonely, only the rustle of wind against the shutters. I sat curled at the edge of the bed, fingers clenched in the blanket. My thoughts were a storm I could not still. Amaiya’s words, Logan’s hurt face at my door, the echo of betrayal that would not stop burning. The latch turned.I jerked upright. Serena slipped inside, her shoulders thrown back, her steps silent and certain. She shut the door with a care that made the hairs at my neck prickle.“What are you doing here?” My voice shook more than I wanted. Her gaze held me, piercing yet unreadable. “I couldn’t leave you alone.”“I don’t need.....”She cut me off by stepping closer, closer still, until her presence filled the space. “You do.”Her hand rose slowly, as though giving me time to push her away. I didn’t. Her fingertips brushed the edge of my arm, warm and deliberate. My chest rose sharply, my pulse stuttering.“Serena,” I whispered, unsure if it was warning or plea. Her hand trailed down my arm,

Fiona's povLogan’s voice chased me down the corridor, but I refused to turn back.“Fiona....please! Let me speak!”I didn’t want his words. I didn’t want excuses or apologies or oaths. I wanted silence. I wanted the image of him tangled with her wiped clean from my mind, but every step I took only seared it deeper.I reached my chamber and slammed the door shut, sliding the bolt hard. My chest heaved as I leaned against the wood, palms pressed flat to keep from falling. He had promised me. Promised I was the only one. And still, Amaiya’s body lay etched across him, her mouth, her hands, her heat where mine should have been.I pressed my fists to my temples, whispering through my teeth, “No more tears.” But tears came anyway.I curled into the bed, clutching the blanket as though it could shield me from memory. The rooftop air still lingered on my lips, Serena’s kiss burning quiet and wrong in the back of my mind. It should have been Logan I kissed, only him — yet my body had leaned i

Fiona's povThe kiss haunted my feelings.Even as I sat curled on the cold stones of the rooftop, even as the night wind whipped the tears from my face, I could still feel Serena’s mouth on mine. She hadn’t left. She stood a pace away, arms folded, as if guarding me from the very air. Every so often, her eyes flicked to me, sharp yet unreadable.“Say something,” she murmured at last.“What should I say?” My voice slammed. “That you’ve ruined me? That I can’t breathe because I don’t know what I feel?”She stepped closer, crouching in front of me, eyes level with mine. “Then don’t name it. Just feel it.”Her hand brushed mine again, anchoring. I should have pulled away, but instead I gripped her fingers like they were the only solid thing left in this broken keep.“You confuse me,” I said. She gave a short, humorless laugh. “Good. Maybe confusion will keep you from shattering.”I met her eyes, and something dangerous lingered there Like devotion, raw and unpolished. It scared me more t

  • A DEAL WITH THE ALPHA DEVIL   Wolves in the hall

Fiona's povLogan hadn’t closed his eyes once. I knew it by the way his hand never loosened from mine, by the faint tremor in his grip. His body begged for rest, but his spirit refused.“You need sleep,” I whispered as the first horn of the day sounded. His mouth twisted in a weary smile. “And let Rowan declare me unfit while I lie in bed? I’d rather face Kael himself.”“Rowan is nothing. Kael is everything.”“Rowan is poison,” he said, voice gravel above. “Kael is only steel. Steel I can break.”The certainty in his tone should have comforted me. Instead it hollowed me.By noon, the council gathered again. This time the hall brimmed with more than lords , captains, scouts, even a few of the commonfolk pressed along the edges, hungry for guidance. Their eyes all darted to Logan the moment he stepped inside. He looked stronger than he had any right to. Cloak across his shoulders, head high, stride sure. Only I felt the way his weight leaned against me when no one else could see.Rowan
