KALMIA’S POV

The next morning I reached out for my phone with blurry vision. When I powered up my phone I saw a message from the CEO appear on the screen. The message made my heart skip a beat when I read it.

Do you remain interested in the position we offered you? He sent his message with the job benefits listed below. Reading the benefits list before me made my eyes widen because it included a competitive salary, health insurance, a 401k plan and a generous relocation package.

I told myself I couldn't afford to lose this benefit while my mind rapidly assessed the opportunities. A strong determination took over me and I hammered out a response with quick keystrokes.

With a professional tone in mind, I typed "Yes" into the chat. "I'm very interested in the job offer. Your consideration for me to fill this position is greatly appreciated.

ARIA’S POV When I reached home I discovered Olivia's new email message which included the job's contract and terms and conditions. I sat down at my desk because I was excited to begin looking over the details. As I began to examine the contract details my initial excitement faded away. One of the conditions caught my eye: Relocation to another country became necessary throughout the campaign period per the position requirements. Surprise and uncertainty swept over me in a sudden wave. The requirement to relocate to another country for this position never occurred to me. I noticed Arrow sitting on the couch in front of the television. "Come over here Arrow and take a look at this with me." He stood up from his seat and came to my side while he looked at the contract past my shoulder. "What's up?" he asked, noticing my concerned expression. The job opportunity requires me to relocate to another country and I told him even though I felt uneasy. "I didn't expect that." Arrow's expre

ARROW’S POV During our walk to the car Kalmia faced me with tearful eyes that sparkled. She replied with a "Thank you," her voice so quiet it was almost silent. I'm grateful for your support during all these difficult times. I embraced Kalmia by wrapping my arms around her and held her tightly. My voice filled with emotion as I replied "I'll always stand by you." "We're in this together, forever." For a brief moment we stood together while holding each other with strength. Everything else faded into the background while the shared love and support between us took center stage. I experienced pride and admiration watching Kalmia confront her fears and doubts directly. When we released each other Kalmia’s eyes began to glisten with tears. She expressed her uncertainty about how she would have managed without me as her voice broke from emotion. I smiled, wiping away her tears. I answered with strong certainty that she would never need to learn that truth. "I'll be here for you, alway

ARROW’S POV After a lengthy period of silence the judge spoke with commanding authority. "Bail is granted, but with strict conditions. The accused needs to surrender her passport to authorities and maintain regular check-ins while staying away from any contact with the victim's family members. I embraced Kalmia tightly as I experienced a surge of relief. Her face flowed with tears while she uttered a gentle "Thank you" to the judge in thankfulness. By holding her close with all my strength I felt confident that we would soon move past this challenging period. The dead girl's parents approached us after we left the courtroom. The mother showed her gratitude because the judge supported their position. We believe in Kalmia’s willingness to accept accountability for her actions. Kalmia nodded, her eyes filled with tears. "I will, I promise. I'm truly sorry for what happened." Their head nods created a short-lived shared comprehension between us. Many obstacles await us in our future

ARROW’S POV When I inquired about Kalmia’s whereabouts I noticed a silent pause from the other side of the call. Her crying reached my ears and shattered my heart. "What's wrong?" I asked, my voice filled with concern. "Kalmia, talk to me." She sniffled, trying to compose herself. "I'm in prison," she whispered with a voice too faint to fully carry her words. I struggled to understand her words as my mind spun wildly. "What happened?" I asked, my voice gentle. Kalmia took a deep breath before speaking. I got into an accident where the child on board lost their life right away. The parents of the deceased child took legal action against me, Arrow. “They detain me in the station. Kalmia said . I was so angry hearing it . But it isn't your fault I said . I wanted to reach out to her and hold her while telling her everything would be okay. "Kalmia," I stated while my voice trembled with emotion. "I'm so sorry. I'm here for you, no matter what.” I told Kalmia that I wou

KALMIA’S POV The concrete floor of my cell felt as though it was draining my warmth as darkness overpowered me with its oppressive embrace. I found myself engulfed in bittersweet memories about Arrow and our life together while confined in my cell. Every adventure we shared and peaceful moment we spent together returned to my memory as clear recollections. My mistake weighed heavily upon me through unstoppable force beyond my ability to flee from. The threat of losing Arrow and my freedom hovered above me as an unrelenting shadow. The question of whether Arrow would ever pardon me or view me as he once did haunted my thoughts. I lived with an unending heartache and dread over losing him and everything else. The consequences of my actions demanded my attention and I needed to confront my current situation. My confinement's harsh reality surrounded me as I sat there unable to escape the sensation of losing my identity together with the life I once recognized. My future appeared be

KALMIA’S POV He hesitated, then shook his head. "Just be careful today, okay? With the modeling agency, I mean." I nodded, feeling a sense of trepidation. What did he know that I didn't? And what lay ahead? Entering the bathroom I felt both excitement and nervousness about my upcoming meeting with the modeling agency. Getting ready made me think about all the potential opportunities this chance might open up. My hair took on a sleek, stylish form while I applied a thin layer of makeup to bring out my natural beauty. I put on a fitted white dress that showed off my curves and then wore heeled ankle boots before taking my bag. In the mirror I gave myself one final check and felt assured in my poise. Arrow lifted his eyes from his phone to examine me when I stepped out of the bathroom. "You look stunning," he said with admiration clear in his voice. His words made me smile as gratitude filled me towards him. "Thank you, I'll do my best to leave an impression," I responded while rea

KALMIA’S POV A figure came towards me and I remained frozen in surprise. The individual moved toward me and in a quiet mysterious voice said "I have something to say Visha." I saw them and adjusted my gaze while narrowing my eyes to figure out their identity. I replied carefully saying "Alright then proceed." "Are you really Visha?" I asked, my tone laced with skepticism. They chuckled softly while their eyes glowed with amusement. With confidence etched in their voice they said "I'm not." The phrase 'I'm here to help you' contained profound meaning despite its simple structure. They spun around and departed leaving me frozen in complete silence. I felt a wave of curiosity and wonder crash over me as they disappeared into the distance. I questioned what help this mysterious person wanted to offer me. My mind spun with questions about the stranger yet they vanished after I could think nothing through leaving behind just an arrow. I stood completely still as my eyes fixated on the a

  • A DEAL WITH THE BILLIONAIRE   CHAPTER 101

KALMIA’S POV Cold air spouted out of the rooming house. As Arrow and I stepped out of the building, I looked up upon him with a smile. "I'm glad we're in this together," I said in a mask of whispered tones. Arrow smiled back, his eyes crinkling into the corners of his face. "Me too," he replied. "We'll get through this, Kalmia. Together.” Later in the day, or rather a few hours after that, we were escorted to a safe house on the outskirts, a small building without any distinguishable traits that would catch a passer-by's attention. The official introduced the security detail assigned to us, a crack team of agents working to protect us twenty-four-seven. As we made our way and began settling inside the safe house, the unease kept hovering upstairs. There was, indeed, an inscrutable potentiality of freedom in confining oneself to a little room with complete strangers. But I had to accept it for now. Arrow seemed to have sensed my unease and wrapped his arm about me, pulling me clos
