Daniella

My heart sank with dread as the elevator went up to my floor. I had no time to announce Drake’s presence tonight to my mom. She would be so shocked to see him tonight. How would Jake react to Drake? Would they kill one another? I had no idea, and the thought was driving me crazy.

“Stop chewing your lips. Relax!” He grinned at me, enjoying my discomfort.

“Please don’t pick a fight with Jake. He’s my mom’s favorite.”

His grin widened. “From now on, I’ll be your mom’s favorite. Will that do?”

“That’ll be worse. She’ll force me to marry you.” I groaned at the idea.

“Really? We will do a fake wedding for a year or two.”

I glared at him. “Don’t even think about it. If I ever marry, it’ll be for love.”

“Do you still believe in that shit? There’s nothing called love.”

The elevator doors opened on my floor, and we walked out. I had no idea if Jake was already here.

“That’s my apartment.” I pointed at the one opposite.

“Oh? So, you live all by yourself in an apartment! Lucky girl!”

Daniella “Jake, stop it right now? This is my home, not a fighting ground. If you have a problem with Drake, you may leave. I won’t tolerate this behavior in my house,” yelled Mom, coming into the dining room in a fit of rage. With her face flushed and her hands on her waist, glaring at Jake, his days at our house were over. We all feared Mom’s wrath, and Jake knew about it, too. His hands dropped to his sides, and he gave Mom a fake guilty look. “I’m sorry, Ellie. But aren’t you at fault here, too?” He tried hard to look like the victim, but I could see through him.Drake fixed his clothes and came over to my side, snaking an arm around my shoulders to enjoy the show. I was glad he didn’t hit Jake back. “My fault? How can you say so?” Mom trembled with fury, and the twins went up to her to calm her down. “Wait, Diego. Let me get this. Explain yourself, Jake?” Jake hesitated, giving Drake a death glare, but Drake smirked at him instead. “You could have informed me about Daniella

DrakeA call from Dominic made me frown. Why was he calling me? He knew today was my first day at Sylvester’s. I had just announced Lucien as the CEO of Sylvester’s and returned to my office to lick my injured ego. What might Daniella have thought of me? The phone buzzed nonstop, and I accepted the call. “Yes, bro.” “Drake, Grandpa had a mild cardiac arrest. He’s been admitted to Queens Hospital. Reach there right away.” A gasp of horror escaped my lips. “Oh, I’ll be there.” In five minutes, I informed Lucien and drove towards Queen Hospital. Dominic, Mom, and Aunt Vera were already there as I joined them. “How did it happen? Wasn’t grandpa in New Jersey?” I glanced at their pale faces as they sat outside the ICU. They were surely hiding something from me. “He returned this morning. Maybe the journey was too strenuous for him,” said Mom nervously. I didn’t argue with her, but my grandpa traveled to New Jersey frequently, and I was sure he was well adjusted to it.“So, how serio

Drake “Lucien is there to handle Sylvester’s. Why are you competing with him, Drake? Can’t you take an interest in your own business and help Dominic instead? That’s what your grandpa wants you to do.” Mom gave me a disapproving look when I announced my plan to join Sylvester Financial Inc. “Mom, Lucien has too much on his plate. He’s busy with LS Cruises. So what difference does it make if I join Sylvester’s as its CEO?” I wasn’t letting this go. Ever since Daniella left me, I couldn’t focus on anything. Even my favorite activity, traveling, didn’t interest me. She was on my mind 24/7, and I was going crazy. If I didn’t do something about it, soon I would end up in a rehab center with a mental breakdown. I had no idea what I wanted from her. Maybe another kiss would suffice. Or another round of wild se* would do the trick and help me get her off my mind. “But that isn’t a permanent solution, Drake. Lucien will take over eventually. Why can’t you join the NS Group this time? It’s

DaniellaThe cab drove down the familiar streets of New York towards my home. But my mind was still far away, in a familiar suite aboard the LS Ocean Queen where I had surrendered to Drake. His lovemaking had me too f*cked up to enjoy another man’s touch.Ever since I left his suite, he hadn’t taken an update on me. I waited all the time for him to call me or seek me out. But he hadn’t bothered. In fact, he was nowhere around when we disembarked from the ship at the New York Cruise Terminal. It proved my suspicions right. He was only pursuing me to get into my pants. I was just another conquest for him.Well, I knew that, didn’t I? Yet I felt for him hook, line, and sinker. How did a player like me get played instead? I was used to playing with men and their feelings, but I never expected to see this day.I sighed and stared at my building farther down the street. After dropping Julia at her house, I braced to face my mom. She would definitely drive me crazy with her questioning. Of c

Daniella I hadn’t even gotten a grip on my senses when Drake reached out and pulled the first drawer of the nightstand. My eyes widened when he took out a pack of condoms. “All planned, huh? I wonder how many you’ve used from this trip!” I rolled my eyes at the player. “I haven’t. See?” He tore open the sealed packaging and took out one. “I had planned to use them all, but you happened, and all my plans crumbled to dust.” My heart skipped a beat as I watched him tear off the packet with his teeth, all the while gazing at me. “So, are you hinting at being celibate for the last seven days?” It was unbelievable indeed. “Yes, so? You were the one who was playing hard to get? Or we could have enjoyed more. It’s payback time now for making me seek refuge in the shower cubicle!” I chuckled, taking the condom from his hand. “Can I sheath you?”He grimaced. “I like it raw, but we don’t want a battalion now, do we?” I gave him a look of horror. I couldn’t imagine myself getting pregnant
