“You are a guest in my home, you will show respect to my Mate while you are under this roof” Lupus bellowed, the sound echoed around the kitchen, bouncing off the walls. Roe placed her hand on his chest, and it was like he deflated. All the anger and tension left the room and he looked down at her gently.

“If you’ll all excuse me, I'm going to check on the t... I'm going upstairs” Roe said before kissing Lupus on the cheek and leaving the room. Lupus glared back at me before he sat back down on his stool.

“Well, out with it then” I blurted annoyed. I glared at Lunaya who still looked angry, but now also sorrowful. She pulled her hand from the small woman's grip, who reluctantly let go after a slight fight. She stepped closer to me and huffed out a harsh breath.

“Do you remember your parents?” she asked me gently. What on earth does that have to do with anything? If I had parents, what would it matter to her if I remembered them or not.
