Sandilo was lost in his thoughts as he trudged back home. His efforts to get Vivian back had failed once again.
He didn’t notice the three wolves that were slowly closing on him. The three of them lunged at him at the same time.
Sandilo managed to dodge one of them at the nick of the time but the other two came in contact with his body at the same time. This caused him to fly in the air momentarily and he landed on the ground with a thud.
Before he could get up, the large black wolf had sunk its teeth into his right leg. Sandilo kicked and howled in pain. He hadn’t even managed to get rid of the black wolf when the smaller one pounced on him and sunk its teeth into his arm.
Pain seared through him and he screamed a loud piercing scream. His hands and legs flailed. He used his left hand to grasp the neck of the smaller wolf, trying to pull him away but it seemed as though he was fighting a losing battle.
He started feeling gid
A shudder coursed through Vivian when she saw the wound on Sandilo’s leg. She was worried that the usual herbs wouldn’t be enough to heal the wound…She sat up with a start making Sandilo flinch. His eyes widened in horror. He had been waiting all this while for Vivian to realize that she was close to him and run away.He drew in a deep breath and tried to quell the ache that seemed to radiate all over his body. His eyes widened in horror as he saw Vivian take her wolf form and pounce onto the bed.He closed his eyes reflexively, his heart pounded like thunder. He waited to feel the sinking of the teeth or scratching of the claws but nothing happened. He slowly cracked open his eyes to find the wolf balanced on the little place that was near him on the bed. She lowered her head and started licking the wound. He felt a strange tickling sensation. It made him roar with laughter. His stomach ached with laughing. He tried to stop her
Sandilo was surprised to see Sana standing in front of the cave.“What brings you here, Sana?” he asked squinting his eyes. Her face paled and she stuttered, “Alpha… I… I…”“Out with it, I don’t have all day…”“I came here with Alpha Vivian…”“Is she inside…” Sandilo said and trotted inside, the moment her name was out of Sana’s mouth. He was stunned to see Vivian kneeling on the floor in front of his father. His father had a distant look in his eyes… he was so quiet… he might as well be a statue…Sandilo’s heart skipped a beat and he called out in a wavering voice, “Vivian…”His body broke out in cold sweat when she didn’t reply. He called out hysterically, “Vivian, What is going on?”That has an effect on Vivian just like snapping of fingers ha
Vivian tugged at Sandilo’s hand that was lying across her stomach. Removing it gently, she slid out of the bed, careful not to wake him. She stood still for a few moments, testing to see if Sandilo was still sleeping.Assured by his soft snores, she picked up her bag and tiptoed out of the room. The cottage was eerily silent as everyone was asleep. The sun hadn't risen yet.She walked through the faintly lit corridor and came to a halt outside the study. She looked this way and that before pushing the door. It creaked slightly but didn't open. She tried several times but in vain. In the end, she had to shove her body against the door before it finally opened with a loud creak.Vivian had started missing Ruza badly... right from the time Sandilo reminded her about the earth. She always missed her but now she felt a strong urge to try and communicate with her.She climbed down the stairs as softly as possible. She heaved a sigh of relief
Veron was seated with Flynn and Rufus in the courtyard, discussing some pack-matters when Albus trotted towards them.He came to a halt right in front of Sandilo and greeted “Alpha Sandilo," worry evident in his voice.“What brings you here, Albus? Is everything alright?” Sandilo asked with a concerned look.“Alpha… we have a problem…”“Hmmm…” Sandilo said, straightening his posture.“Today is the full moon night…”“Yeah… it is, so…” Sandilo asked raising his eyebrow.“Since AV pack is not merged with the Bloodmoon pack, we still are cursed to shift on full moon nights…” He said and looked at Sandilo expectantly.“You know that it is not possible to merge a pack without the order of the Alpha. Vivian doesn’t remember anything. So, I don’t think this is possible.” Sandilo said in
“I am glad that you are back, love…” Sandilo said and moved towards Vivian, the moment she entered the cottage. She dodged him without replying and walked past him.She was not in a mood to talk to him. She wanted to sit down and sort out the mess in her head so that she could make a decision. She stomped into the study and slammed the door shut.“Vivian, What happened? Please listen to me…” Sandilo called out, running after her.He kept banging at the door every few seconds and calling out to her.Vivian covered her ears hoping to drown out the noise but Sandilo was relentless.“F***! Why doesn’t he give up?” She grumbled and punched the table in frustration. A scream erupted her throat as her hand came down too hard on the surface. She winced and jumped about in pain cursing her impulsive behavior.Sandilo's heart skipped a beat when he heard Vivian's scream. He banged the door mo
She halted at the threshold of the courtyard. She wrung her hands as she watched Sandilo, Father, and Sana sitting with a serious expression. It was evident that Sana had told them everything about the meeting with her.She clenched her fists as she forced herself to walk towards Sandilo. She went and stood right in front of him.“Vivian… please listen to me…” He begged, jumping to his feet. She clenched her teeth, drew in a deep breath, and said in an even voice, “There is nothing to listen to. I have messaged my teammates. They are coming to pick me up in an hour. It was nice meeting you Alpha Sandilo.”Sandilo gripped her shoulders and said in a pained voice, “You can’t do this, Vivi… I… How will I live without you… You have to give me a chance to repent…”Vivian bit her lower lip and shrugged him off. She gasped and said, “I want to finish one work before
Grandpa was stunned when he entered the courtyard. Sana, Augustus, and Sandilo were sitting with blank expressions. His heart sank and he asked in a shaking voice, “What happened? Why are you all looking so upset?”“It is all my fault, Grandpa. I shouldn’t have hidden the truth from Vivian…. Now she is gone…” Sandilo croaked out...“Oh! So, she found the truth?” Granpa said in a startled voice.Sandilo pursed his lips and nodded his head…“Don’t worry son, She will understand and forgive you eventually…”“That is never gonna happen… never…” Sandilo said in a choked voice…“Nonsense… Where is she? I will talk to her… I will explain to her that we forced you to hide the truth from her…”“There is no use of doing anything, Grandpa… She has left..”“Where
Rollan smirked at Vivian as he watched her struggle against the handcuffs. She was quite pretty. If he had time he would have loved to have some fun with her but unfortunately, his duty was calling him.He walked closer to her, stopping just a few steps away from her. He liked to watch her face close. It was so transparent. It reflected her inner turmoil like a live movie.“I know you so well baby girl... Maybe even better than you… I was one hundred percent sure that you would land on this planet… what I didn’t expect is that you will leave that silly girl, Ruza behind. I expected her to stick to you like a leech..."He paused for a moment and let out a deep sigh before continuing, "She has been chewing my brain for ages… I tried to ignore her but… she kept asking for reinforcements. In the end, I took it upon myself to come here…”It was now that it struck Vivian... she had no idea if this
