Some Business

I retraced my way back to S. San Pedro street, and down to the Alleyway, walking like I was just an empty body, no life, no soul.

I reached the Alleyway where Brody and I were staying, and he was surprised to see me, no, not happily surprised, but surprised that I had just gotten out of the cell, just like that.

I stumped clumsily on the floor, dropping the bag between us, with my hands on my head, thinking about what had happened.

"So you're back?" He asked, checking the bag with his eyes.

"What do you care?" I sighed.

"Don't pull that stunt again, you're not even a man…" he said, scratching his neck "you will knock me out of business" he stared right into my eyes, meaning it.

"I made a mistake…" I said, running my hands through my hair, I felt heavy, maybe a heavy guilt, something that needed to be dropped.
