Sixty

My jaw drop open in shock. I immediately gather my composure snapping my mouth shut.

"What does that mean?" I demand irritatedly, refusing to believe I heard correctly.

Liam pins me down with his intense gaze, his stance rigid. I study the lines of exhaustion and stress on his face as he narrows his gaze on me.

"Liam…" I begin to say.

"Forget it" he grumbles a note of bitterness in his voice, his brows curve into a frown as he cuts me off before I can implore further.

I scoff internally. He can't just go about dropping bombshells like this every time and expect me to forget it, telling me to forget it like it's nothing.

"This is…"

Liam gave me one last look and moved past me heading for the exit, ready to leave.

Oh no you don't, I grab his arm quickly causing him to halt.

"Tell me, I want to know" I insist. "Why did you say that?"

Liam didn't even spare me the tiniest glance as he shoves my hands off and storms out of the room slamming the door shut, leaving me in a conf
