Chapter Eighty Five

HAZEL

I just found a way to kill a man without killing him!

I stepped out of the dimly lit bar, the warm summer air hitting my face as I dragged my weak knees down the street. Surprisingly, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. The drinks had helped dull the ache in my heart, even though I knew it would be for a little while.

There is just no way I am going to forget what my eyes had seen!

Gadzooks!

As I made my way to my car, I paused, realizing I was in no condition to drive. I couldn't have thought I would be in a position where I would be in a position where I will be too drunk to drive. Sighing, I pulled out my phone and quickly booked a room at the nearest hotel.

Somehow, I am glad I got drunk, as I didn't have to punish myself by worrying over Rudolf and Chery.

The next morning, I awoke with a pounding headache. I managed to take a stroll within the hotel, as I fed my eyes with nothing of interest. I just wanted to get my mind off those dimwits.
