A Luna To Her Triplet Stepbrothers

Shannon’s POV

“What?! No! This cannot be.” I silently lamented, staring at the guy in front of me.

It was the first day of senior year and my eighteenth birthday, I was so excited to find my mate, that hopefully I would leave this world full of hurt and daily bullying behind me, I thought wrong.

It was him, the guy that always took his time in bullying me, he was my mate, and by the smug look on his face, I could tell he was not delighted by the news either.

Eric, being the alpha’s son with an insatiable ego was the main lead in my bullying. With tears in my eyes, I reminisce how it all began.

I had just transferred to this school, and I was so excited to make new friends and start a new chapter in my life. I didn't know that being an omega would make that impossible. It seemed like everyone could smell my status, and they all looked at me with disgust.

It was during lunchtime when Eric first approached me. He had friends with him, and they all looked like they were up to no good. Eric sauntered over to my table and slammed his hands down on it.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" he sneered, looking down at me. "A pathetic little omega all alone on her first day. How sad."

I tried to ignore him, but he wasn't having it. He grabbed my tray and dumped the contents onto my lap, making everyone in the cafeteria laugh. I wanted to crawl into a hole and disappear.

From that day on, it only got worse. Eric and his friends found every opportunity to molest me, emotionally and physically, every single day, I would cry home.

“What do you think you’re doing?” a menacing voice brought me out of my daydream and I looked up, only to meet the eyes of my enemy. Eric.

“N-Nothing.” I stuttered while shaking my head, avoiding to look into his eyes.

“Look at me, Shannon.” He commanded, and I dared not listen. I looked at him, but the fire in his eyes promised pain.

“I am doomed.” I shook in my boots but kept a straight face anyways.

He took a step closer to me, I flinched, “Meet me in the locker room during the break, don’t be late Shannon.” He said

I could only nod, and as if on cue, the bell rang, “Saved by the bell.” I muttered as I hurried to class.

I could not concentrate, all I could think about was a possibility that he would force me into mating with him and I would be stuck with him forever.

“I don’t want that.” I sobbed silently while the teacher went on teaching. I was in pain, but no one saw that.

I walked as slowly as I could towards the locker room, he was waiting, I could sense him. I wanted to turn back, run out of that retched place, but I couldn't, I needed to know my fate, whether my mate, Eric would accept or reject me.

Thinking of his name felt like a nightmare.

I could feel the tears threatening to break free from their confinement, my eyes were probably already red and swollen from crying in the toilet before coming here.

"You're here." Eric smiled and i almost fell for it. It was sincere, I knew it was sincere, then he spoke.

"Will you accept me as your mate?" It wasn't a question though, he was stating it and my only choice was to comply.

He was an alpha, he was a bully.

It was hard not to think of him as a monster.

Not when I had witnessed his crimes first hand, not when I saw him take the life away from me, with my own eyes, I saw my life seep out slowly.

"Yes Eric, I accept you." With those words, he pulled me close by his waist and looked straight into my eyes.

"Shannon, You'll be a good mate won't you?" I couldn't speak, I was too afraid, I just nodded my head.

After series of nods, I stood on my tiptoes and placed a gentle kiss on his lips, surprisingly, his lips were soft. All too soon I pulled back from him, but before I could make another move, he landed a painful slap on my face, causing me stumble on the ground and before I knew it, the locker room was filled with Eric’s friends, it only meant hell.

"I am not weak like the losers you hang out with, oh wait! You have no friends." I heard him say as I gasped.

I couldn’t speak, so he continued, "Next time, when you want to kiss me, ask for permission.” With that, he turned to leave, but he turned before he could reach the door.

“Did you seriously think I would accept you as my mate?” You are nothing, omega!” He spat, and right on cue his girlfriend, the queen bee in the school moved closer to us, she too slapped me as cruelly as possible, relishing in my pain.

“You are nothing but a useless bitch! You are good for nothing! I got better things to do than to mate with you!” Eric kicked me in the stomach, as the others saw it as go ahead to beat me mercilessly.

“I, Eric, reject you, Shannon as my mate from now till eternity.” It was done and he immediately took off with his bitchy girlfriend, but his friends continue their ministrations on me.

The beating lasted for what felt like hours, it was painful I could not even cry, I just laid there while they beat me and haul insults at me. For what? For existing.

The day lasted longer than I anticipated, but with pain I finished my mission in school for that day, despite the fact that I learnt nothing. The bell rang all too soon and I ran like my tail was on fire, I couldn’t risk another beating.

“Oh Goddess, Shannon! What happened sweetie?” My ever so loving mother asked, fusing over me, inspecting my body for any visible scar, not that she would find any, I already healed. The scar that was left was on my heart and I don’t think I will be getting rid of it any time soon.

“It’s nothing, Mother, can we just go?” as I said that, I could feel eyes on me, so I looked back, only to meet Eric’s green orbs staring intently at me, probably listening in whether I would tell my mother on him.

“Please Mom.” With a pleading eyes, I begged my mother as she drove us out of the school.

“Do you want to talk about it?” I didn’t reply and simply stared out the window, so she asked again, “Are you being bullied Shannon, because I thought about it for long and I can’t see another reason why you would look like this every day after school, you can talk to me baby.” She looked close to tears and that does it.

I opened my mouth and told her everything, I deliberately left out the part about finding a mate or my mate being Eric. She had to stop the car and hugged me to her bosom for ten minutes straight.

“It is okay, Mom, I will be fine.” I mustered a small smile to erase the look of concerned off of my Mom’s face.

It worked as my mother carried on with her conversation that I completely tuned out until one of her statements caught my absolute attention.

“So I found my new mate.” The excitement that rolled off of her was catchy, I had to look at her.

“Oh my Goddess Mom, that is great news.” I patted her hand that wasn’t holding the steering wheel.

“I know baby what’s even exciting is that, we are all meeting today, with his sons.” Then the confusion rolled in.

So I asked, “Sons?”

“Yes Shannon, my mate is Robin, the Alpha of the Dark Moon.”

“What?!”
