Tamara’s POV

I stared at Dante in shock, his words replaying in my head like a broken record.

"It’s my fault that you and your baby were killed."

“What are you talking about?” I finally asked, my voice trembling. “How could it be your fault? Dante, we only met once in our past lives. And that was… on the battlefield.”

His head snapped toward me, his eyes wide in shock. “We were at war?”

I hesitated, biting my lip. I hadn’t meant to say that much. “Yes,” I admitted softly. “But it wasn’t what you think. Jack told me you were attacking our pack. He convinced me that if I didn’t act first, you’d destroy us.” I lowered my gaze. “So, I sent my people to fight you.”

Dante’s jaw tightened, his eyes narrowing as realization dawned. “Jack lied to you,” he said, his voice full of bitter certainty. “He played us both.”

I nodded, my throat tightening. “I only found out too late. By then…” My voice cracked, and I looked away, unable to meet his gaze. “By then, everyone I loved was already g

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Their first time

Kayla’s POVAdrian's lips were warm, insistent, and familiar in a way that made my knees weak. As he kissed me, everything else—every unanswered question, every hurt, every shattered hope—faded into the background.I gasped when his hands slid to my waist, pulling me against him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss, clinging to him like he was the only thing holding me together. Maybe he was.The taste of him was addictive. Soft lips, a groan buried deep in his throat, his thumb stroking along my jawline like I was the most delicate thing he’d ever touched. But there was hunger behind the tenderness—weeks of unspoken longing crashing into this one moment.“I missed you so much,” he whispered against my lips, voice ragged.“I missed you too,” I breathed, and it was the truest thing I’d said in weeks. He picked me up effortlessly, carrying me toward the bed like I weighed nothing. When he laid me down, he hovered above me, searching my eyes for any hesitation. There

Kayla's pov I stared at the torn edge of the diary page again, as if it might stitch itself back together if I stared hard enough. It didn’t.I sighed and pushed the book away, frustration curling in my stomach like a fist. That was the third one. Three different entries, all damaged. All ripped from history just as they started to say something real—something important. And I had no idea who was doing it.Ingrid swore she didn't know how it happened and ofourse i believed her, But that didn’t make the missing pieces magically reappear. And until I figured out what they were hiding from me, I couldn’t rest.I leaned back in the chair by my bedroom window, pressing the back of my hand to my eyes.A knock at the door made me sit up fast, heart thudding.“Ingrid?” I called. No answer. Only silence.I stood and walked to the door cautiously, opening it just enough to peek through. No one was there. But on the floor, neatly arranged, was a bouquet of creamy white roses and pale pink lilie

ingrid's pov Connor— the Connor my heart raced for—had never mentioned being married. Not once. Not during our quiet walk. Not when he stood too close. Not when he smiled at me like he saw something more. “He never said anything about being married,” I murmured, almost to myself. The woman tilted her head. “Interesting. Well, I suppose I’ll go find him now. He is supposed set up the date for your Alpha and my mistress. Thank you.” And with that, she turned and walked away, leaving me frozen in the doorway. A date? What did she mean by date? A long time passed before I could even move again. My hands shook as I tried to make sense of what had just happened. Maybe it was a lie. Maybe she was just trying to tease me. But why would she do that? And what if it wasn’t a lie? What would that mean for me and Connor? My wolf whined in pain but I tried to tell myself the truth. I didn’t belong here. I had known that from the start. I was a maid. A loyal servant. A shadow. But I ha

ingrid's pov I had barely closed the door behind me when the weight of the night dropped on my shoulders. My thoughts were racing—not just from what Lady Elizabeth had told us about Lady Rina, but also from how Beta Connor had walked me home like a gentleman. There was a time I’d scoff at the idea of feelings. I’d spent so much of my life watching from the sidelines, being useful but never... desired. Not like that. And yet, tonight, something had shifted between Connor and me. That quiet moment outside her door. The way his fingers brushed mine when he handed me my cloak. The way our eyes lingered. I shook the thoughts from my head. I needed to focus. My priority is Luna Kayla. I slipped inside her quarters as quietly as I could, careful not to wake her. But to my shock, she was already awake. "Ingrid? Where have you been?" I gave her an excuse of looking for more diaries and she believed me. She scanned the damaged diaries, asked me a few questions then decided to head of

ingrid's povLady Elizabeth met his gaze. “I can’t say for sure. But everyone knew how he looked at her. She arrived with nothing but beauty and mystery, and he gave her a home. He protected her. And he hid her from the rest of us. Especially from lady Catherine." I swallowed. “What about the child?” I asked and the look on Lady Elizabeth's face made my heart drop. "I'm not sure I can say that because I never found proof of it because there are many rumors that claim that Lady Rina's child was for another man."what?I frowned but Lady Elizabeth looked at me then. “Some rumours claim that Lady Rina was already pregnant when she came. Plus Alpha Dominic never said whose it was. But I do know one thing... And that's the fact that one day, when Alpha Dominic was drunk, he said he wanted to treat that baby like his own. He wanted to spoil her, in fact.” My heart thumped loudly in my chest. “But then what happened?” Lady Elizabeth grew quiet. “When Lady Catherine found out, she w

Ingrid's pov I stirred a small pinch of valerian powder into Luna Kayla’s tea with shaking fingers. It wasn’t enough to knock her out—just a little dose to make her sleepy until evening. She was already so exhausted from all the research and emotional chaos that I doubted she’d even notice. Still, I hated myself for doing it. “I’m sorry,” I whispered under my breath as I slid the cup across the table toward her. “Just sleep until tonight. Let me handle this.” Luna Kayla looked up from the half-torn journal with a furrowed brow. “Thanks, Ingrid,” she murmured, taking a sip. “You’re the best.” I smiled tightly and nodded, then slipped out of the room before my guilt made me confess everything. By evening, she was drowsy as expected and curled up with another diary she could barely keep open. I waited until I was sure she’d fallen asleep before I slipped on my cloak and headed toward the outer halls of the palace. As I turned the corner near the gardens, I nearly collided

Kayla's pov His lips pressed harder against mine, and for a moment, I forgot how to breathe. Adrian pulled me closer, one hand cradling the back of my neck like he was afraid I’d slip through his fingers again. The kiss deepened with every second, until I wasn’t sure where he ended and I began. It was desperate and familiar and so heartbreakingly sweet, I could’ve cried. My hands gripped his shirt tightly, not because I wanted to hold him—because I needed to. I had missed this. Missed him too much. His warmth, his smell, the way he always held me like I was precious. My fingers curled into his hair as he broke the kiss just long enough to whisper against my lips, “Just one day, Kayla. Please. Let me have one full day to talk to you. No guards, no drama. Just us.” I hesitated, lips still parted, breath shallow. My heart screamed yes, but my head… I could barely think, so i nodded. Just once. “One day,” I said quietly, not trusting my voice. “That’s all.” He let out a breath li

Kayla's pov I swallowed hard, the weight of the diary pressed tightly against my stomach beneath my shirt. The fabric rustled slightly every time I moved, and I held my breath, hoping no one would notice the obvious bulge beneath my shirt. My heart thundered in my chest with every step I took out of the library. I shouldn’t feel like a thief—I wasn’t stealing, just borrowing. But if anyone knew what I was hiding, especially Adrian… “Kayla, wait,” his voice called sharply. I froze. I thought he'd already left but it seems he was waiting outside the hallway. I turned slowly, my pulse kicking into full panic mode as I faced him. He was standing near the archway of the corridor, with his sleeves rolled to his muscled forearms. i hadn't noticed it before but his hair was tousled like he hadn’t slept, and his eyes locked on me with a seriousness that made me feel exposed. He looked down for a split second, then back up—his eyes narrowing ever so slightly. “Can you give me a minute

Ingrid's pov Before I could answer, heavy footsteps approached and a cold voice snapped. "Ingrid?! What the hell are you doing!."I whipped around and froze as my heart dropped from my chest. This was the last person I wanted to see, especially when his eyes flickered down to the diaries in Hectors hands with the title clearly shown on display.'Oh no,' My wolf gasped. It was ConnorHe had rounded the corner with eyes narrowing when he saw me by the bars. “Ingrid? I asked what the hell you doing down here?”I snatched the diaries and shoved them behind me— but it wae too late. His keen gaze locked onto the leather cover.“Planning something with the prisoner?” he asked coolly.Hector straightened. “Back off, Connor. She’s trying to help me so it's none of your business.”Connor’s jaw flexed. “Help how?”My wolf whined at his tone. She always got nervous whenever he was around but I always tried to ignore it.Even now, his presence made me feel like my skin was getting hotter but ever
