65. Light Is in His Eyes

After an hour of talking, Dexter was still in complete darkness. The wine did not affect his eyes. Nevertheless, they both were heavily disappointed in the results.

"I'm going to bed, Taesha," Dexter says, pulling the cover-up over his shoulders and turning his back to her in bed. Tears fell from his eyes as a mass of confused feelings entered his heart.

"Baby, I'm sorry, but I never thought I had anything to do with your eyesight."

"It's okay. Good night Tae."

"Are you upset with me?"

"No,"

"Then don't turn your back on me."

"Taesha, I'm trying to go to sleep. Can you do the same?"

"What? No! You are upset with me, and I don't like it!"

"I'm not upset, but if you keep nagging me, I will be!"

"Nagging you! I don't believe my ears! I'm trying to console you! I know you are disappointed that it didn't work! But don't turn your back to me as if it's my fault!"
