Frustrated

Ethan opened his eyes, his surroundings unfamiliar. It soon became clear that he was in a hospital room. Frustration welled up within him as he realized that he despised being surrounded by crowds, a fact that Andrew seemed to know all too well and still forced him to go to the club with him .

"You're awake," Andrew said with a smile before rushing out to call the doctor. Minutes later, the doctor arrived and conducted some tests on Ethan's body.

"You're in good health now, but it seems you need to address your fear of crowds with a therapist," the doctor stated. Ethan, however, promptly stood up from the bed.

"Thanks, but I don't require therapy," he replied curtly. The doctor tried to assert his authority, cautioning Ethan to rest for a while longer. Unperturbed, Ethan retorted,

"You can't dictate what I should do," and proceeded to walk out of the hospital, determined to assert his independence.

"He never listens," the doctor muttered under his breath. Just then, Ethan's phone began to ring loudly. Retrieving it from his pocket, he swiped to answer the call, only to hear his grandfather's urgent voice commanding him to come to his house immediately. Ending the call abruptly, Ethan turned to Andrew, who wore a shocked expression.

"What are you planning to do?" Andrew asked, his concern evident.

"What does it look like?" Ethan replied, his tone inscrutable. He opened the door to the driver seat and get inside.

"Don't tell me you want to drive yourself when I am here?" Andrew's voice carried a mixture of frustration and disbelief as he confronted Ethan.

"Did you want to enter or should I go without you?" Ethan, his own voice tinged with impatience, responded with a question of his own. The tension between the two men was evident. Andrew expressed his confusion, likening Ethan's behavior to a fickle network connection.

"I don't even understand you anymore. One moment, you're joking and laughing with me, and the next, you're being arrogant," he stated. Unfazed by the escalating disagreement, Ethan started the car, signaling his readiness to leave. Sensing the urgency, Andrew quickly changed his tune and pleaded.

"I'm sorry, please wait for me." Without further hesitation, he hurriedly entered the car. Ethan, now behind the wheel, maneuvered the car with an air of restlessness as they made their way towards his grandfather's mansion. Knowing the real reason for his grandfather's call, Ethan drove with a hint of determination. Eventually, he parked the car in the garage and stepped out, the weight of the impending conversation settling upon him.

"I thought you weren't going to step foot inside this mansion again," Jonathan said, his tone laced with surprise. Ethan glared at him, anger burning in his eyes, before forcefully pushing him out of his way.

"Greetings, grandpa." Ethan bowed his head respectfully, Grandpa Ben expressed his discontent.

"You decided not to visit me since you came back."

"I was just waiting for the perfect time to come." Ethan offered his explanation, trying to maintain composure.

"I don't have much to say," Grandpa Ben stated with a sense of finality, his voice a low rumble. The weight of his words hung in the air, casting a shadow over the room. Jonathan sauntered into the living room, a self-satisfied smirk dancing upon his lips. He seemed pleased with the situation, reveling in the tension between Ethan and their grandfather. Making his stance known, Jonathan continued to voice his opinion.

"Remind him not to come here with the mad woman he came with the other time," he sneered, his words dripping with disdain. "And father, don't you think you're wasting your time on Ethan? Ethan doesn't have any intention to get married. Just give the company to me. He isn't serious at all." Ethan's glare intensified, anger and frustration burning in his eyes.

"Grandpa, it seems you don't trust me," Ethan spoke earnestly, attempting to defend himself. "I have been running this company with you since I was seventeen. I can run this company with or without getting married. Did you really think Jonathan can handle the responsibility? Where was Jonathan when I was growing this company all these years? It was my father and I who built this company into what it is today." However, Jonathan, unable to contain his anger, interjected harshly.

"Keep quiet! Shut the hell up! Who told you I can't run this company? You're just like your father. If Father allowed me, I would surely take this company to greater heights. What have you ever done? Absolutely nothing!" The room fell into an uneasy silence as the tension between the two reached its peak.

Ethan's voice laced with frustration, he retorted.

"Can you hear yourself? Did you think I don't know how you almost ruined this company before I took over? Uncle, you don't have a say in this..." Grandpa Ben's patience reached its limit as he exclaimed.

"Enough! Ethan, I don't want to hear anything from you. Did you think there's no one capable like you? I am going to hand over the company to Jonathan if you don't bring your fiancé within the days I gave you, and that's final." Without further explanation, Grandpa Ben turned and walked towards his room, leaving an air of unresolved tension behind. Jonathan, sensing his moment, taunted

"Let's see how you're going to do it." Anger still blazing within him, Ethan grabbed his car keys from the table before storming out of the house in frustration.

As he reached his car in the compound, Ethan's anger continued to radiate through his tense figure. The weight of the condition given by his grandfather loomed over him. How would he find someone to bring as his fiancé within the next five days? He couldn't bear the thought of losing the company he had poured so much of his time and effort into, especially not to Jonathan. The memory of Ashley's face, the smug smirk she had worn when he had pretended not to recognize her, flashed across his mind. He didn't want to revisit the past, and with her status as a customer, he could no longer discuss such personal matters with her. "There's something about that lady that I don't understand," Ethan muttered to himself, his thoughts clouded with confusion and uncertainty as he started the car and pulled out of the compound.

The car was barreling down the road, Ethan oblivious to the figure in the darkness ahead. Suddenly, there was a sickening thud as the car hit something - or rather, someone. Time seemed to slow down as Ethan realized what had happened. He had just hit a someone, and the person was lying motionless on the ground.

"And is this person fucking blind!" Ethan yelled before coming down from his car.
