“It is not my fault that your team lacked substance,” Nirvana rolled her eyes at Kaitlyn, her former composed stance had vanished and was replaced by nonchalance that screamed that she couldn’t be bothered with the world.

“What is that supposed to mean?” Kaitlyn asked.

Nirvana glanced at Laura who was still sitting rigidly at her position. “Britin Holdings. The client was poached by my able assistant. If Laura hadn’t gotten this client, I am afraid that we would have been classified as the same level.”

Laura froze even more, before she slowly turned her head to glance at both women who were staring each other down. Kaitlyn was brimming with rage while Nirvana couldn’t be bothered by it, yet Laura looked like she would be thrust into trouble if she involved either of them at the moment.

“Laura, you really did this?” Kaitlyn asked with gritted teeth, and Laura could only stare at her with trembling hands. The rim of her eyes was turning to red swiftly, yet she couldn’t muster a word.

    Both of them stared for a few minutes, Nirvana was motionless while Severin looked like he had forgotten the presence of Kaitlyn who was standing next to him.
