Getting ready for the dinner party was hard. All I had to do was put the dress on and tie my hair, which could have only taken a few minutes.

But I ended up using an entire hour procrastinating, not wanting to go with Elijah. However, something told me that if I stayed a minute longer, Elijah would come to get me and that would not be a pleasant situation.

After I pulled the black dress on, I tied my hair in to a neat bun.

I looked at myself through the mirror and made sure that the turtleneck covered my neck well, along with the hideous scar.

I slipped the black heels I'd worn to my father's grave and once again looked at myself.

I looked pretty plain.

From the few glances I've caught of these dinner parties, I've noticed that everyone comes to showoff. Every person I'd seen come to the house were dressed to impress, looking flashy in their expensive dresses and jewelries.
