25 YEARS PASS

"How are you doing there?"

The morning rays are shining like endless hope, but for Iro, it's only reminding him to keep living, like how Ryo wishes.

"I'm leaving the Philippines for good and staying in England until my last breath, I hope you're doing ok, see you again my love."

A tear fell from his eyes while kissing the tomb of his deceased Omega.

He was unwilling to leave but how can he face life, without Ryo?

And wherever he goes it only reminds him of his unfulfilled love.

"Uwahhhhh."

Iro wiped his face with the back of his hands stood up almost hugging the ground, and carried the baby out from the stroller.

"Iyo, say bye to mommy."

He holds the small hand gesturing goodbye and waves it twice while his tears can't be stopped from falling onto the grave.

Timid footsteps approach the two, one crying loudly and the other silently.

"Brother let's go, mother is waiting inside the car."

"Hmm" sniff sniff sniff.

As the car left without turning back, one pair of red eyes under 6 feet on the ground shone bright like a grim ripper.

"You may now kiss the bride"

The people present inside the church, cheered after the veil was lifted by the groom, and a passionate kiss was shared between Neil and Ivi.

(Ivi is pronounced as Ivy)

"Congratulations to the newlyweds"

Iko said and hugged his mother, who looked younger and fresher compared to him, who was buried in a lot of things to think about.

(Iko is pronounced as Aiko)

"Thanks, where's your brother and niece?"

Ivi asked, not seeing the presence of Iro and Iyo.

"Iyo's waiting at the reception already and brother, he said he will be late, his car broke and I don't know if he caught the last train or he's already hailing a cab"

Neil who's listening to their conversation can't help but feel sad.

He thinks that Iro didn't show up intentionally because he married the mother of his best friend.

It's a long story about how he ended up marrying Iro's mother, but he gave his all to make Iro understand what was going on.

It was an ordinary Sunday morning when Iro caught them naked next to each other with a mixture of the lingering scent of sex, heat, and rut.

He almost lost his life to Iro's hand, if Iko didn't come to separate them.

That time Iro accused him of rape, but it wasn't like that, things happen with consent.

On that day the blanket is the only cover of his lower body, he kneels while telling Iro that, he is long bonded to Ivi before they even meet each other.

It's like they're fated to be together, he also can't understand why, but he knew the moment their eyes meet, they're meant to be.

Ryo just died that day making the situation much more complicated, which made Iro so messed up, he doesn't even know if his story and brief explanation were heard.

All he knew was that, if it wasn't for Ivy and Iko he would be playing chess with his ancestors above the clouds.

That day Iro lost his soul but still exists for the sake of the child.

Running out of the train, to catch any miracle of a taxi to attend the wedding of his mother.

But luck was on his side, sarcastically, while he was rushing on his way out, someone bumped into him, and they fell on their butt so hard.

Papers were scattered everywhere and a meal on a small cup was thrown on the floor, Iro was mad and accidentally stepped on something while getting up, and when he lifted his feet.

It was shattered, a thick-rimmed glass.

While the other party was hastily rummaging through his bag and expertly putting contact lenses in his eyes.

He was not in pain but he was uncomfortable, the reason why he hates contact lenses and prefers old-fashioned eyeglasses.

But like any emergency, he has no choice but to wear it, he's clumsy and always losing balance or being in collision all the time, he can't even count how many glasses he bought and broke.

"I'm sorry, I'm just in a hurry to catch the last train"

And the train makes a sound of leaving, like a joke.

"Oh shucks, I'm late again"

Iro's world stopped spinning as if he was back to that day when he first met him.

"Ryo...?"

It was a doubt of confirmation.

"No!"

Iro said scratching his head and clutching his chest, he thought he was just daydreaming, but he saw with his own eyes that day, that he even held his lifeless body.

But the person in front of him, with that kind of resemblance, is hard to deny.

"Ryo!"

This time Iro grabbed the hand that was collecting the papers and to the shock of the other party.

He pulled his hands away, and the electricity sparked and flowed through his spine in between his legs.

"Who are you?!"

Iro was ecstatic to hear that same voice, again, after 25 years of longing.

"Ryo, it's you, but how? I saw with my own eyes, that you died"

Iro's voice was low and cracking.

"Excuse me my name is Ryo but you got the wrong person"

And so he stood up, about to leave, but in a few steps he felt a tight embrace around his waist and a trembling body behind him.

He could also feel his back getting wet, the stranger was crying.

All of a sudden he's in chaos within, why does he also feel pain?

"Ryo..."

He stiffened hearing his name being called like, he would go far away and never be seen.

"Let me go, please"

He struggled without strength, he was wondering why, he couldn't even breathe.

"What's wrong with me?"

Ryo clutched the hand coiling him and shivered.

"No, I won't, this time, I will never let you go"

Ryo was flabbergasted by the intense pheromones and before he could kicked the stranger behind his back.

Someone pulled him away and the scent of cologne told him it was Sef, making him feel better and no longer suffocating.

"Do you know him?"

Sef looked at Iro annoyed, while Iro felt lost, breathing hard, trying to catch Ryo again, but Sef pulled the latter much closer to his body.

"No, he just suddenly called my name, but I never met him"

"Ryo....?"

Iro was taken aback when Ryo was pulled from him, and when he looked up after having difficulty breathing he saw another Alpha so close to Ryo, his instinct suddenly charged, but before he could make another step he fell on the floor as if he lost his life.

"Let's go"

Sef holds his hand.

Though Ryo is reluctant to see the stranger having a panic attack, he can't find himself stopping.

"Hmm"

Ryo agreed and left, glancing one more time and moving forward

On the other hand, Iro passes out and when he opens his eyes, he's no longer in the train station but inside the hospital.

Remembering what happened and that voice without the scent, the familiar feeling on his arm was still there, he knew it wasn't a dream.

Ryo is alive.
