When Sarah got home, she first looked around but didn't see Richard's car. She discovered that Richard hadn't come back yet. Sarah heaved a sigh of relief before walking inside with long strides.
She quickly took her bath and prepared to take her dinner. She was going to have dinner earlier today so she could go to bed before Richard returns. Sarah didn't know how to face him yet so she quickly made up her mind to avoid him at the moment.
Sarah planned to drift off before he comes back, else, she might have to pretend to have done so, so as to avoid him. She knew she wouldn't be able to evade Richard forever but at least, he would be calmer the next day and probably be lenient with her. She just had to make sure that she escaped his wrath today.
"What do you mean?" Sarah asked in panic. Richard didn't bother to look back. He went straight to his study.Sarah connected what he just said with the call he received now and knew exactly what he meant. Her heart pounded rhythmically and she ran up immediately to the study. As she was about to reach the door of the study, a bodyguard intercepted her."Mrs. Wilson, Mr. Wilson is busy inside and wishes not to be disturbed," the guard said politely."What do you mean by he's busy? Let me in, I want to talk to him. He can't do this to me!" Sarah screamed but the guard didn't bulge. She struggled for a long while but he wouldn't let her in and Richa
Sarah had just entered the villa when her phone vibrated in her pocket. It was the same number that had called her earlier. "Hello," she said, looking into the distance as she waited for the caller to respond. "Hi, Sarah," the voice from the other end sounded very cheerful. It was the same voice as before but this time, it was no longer laced with melancholy."I just received a call now that our station will no longer be closed down and that we could continue rendering our selfless services to the people. It was even said that our salaries have been increased by 30% with other generous allowances," the DPO announced. It was obvious that he was extremely thrilled.&nb
The next day, Sarah woke up feeling a bit tired. She turned over and noticed that Richard was still lying next to her though he wasn't sleeping. Sarah remembered that she was going to start work today. Even though Richard was the boss in her new place of work, it wasn't good if she reported to work late on her first day.She jumped out of the bed and made to dash to the into the bathroom but Richard stretched out his long hand and pulled her over to himself. Sarah lost her balance and fell directly over his body."Did you have a nightmare in your dreams, leave me alone or I'll kill you myself," Sarah blustered. She was still a little angry that he had his way with her last night even when she initially didn't want him to. He just knew how to seduce her.
Richard's phone rang. He looked at the screen and discovered that it was Mrs. Harriet. He initially didn't want to pick the call but because Sarah was lying next to him and had seen the caller and was curiously staring at him, he finally picked the call when the caller was about to end it."Go straight to the point," his voice was very cold."You dweeb, is that how to talk to your mother? Do you even care if I die of a heart attack!" Mrs. Harriet yelled out.He was just so inconsiderate!"If you're not healthy, I can call the family doctor," Richa
Richard was sitting in his office, facing the door while Kelly stood beside him and was presenting some documents to him for signing. He collected the documents from Kelly and carefully studied them. After signing the documents, Kelly put them in their respective files and was about to leave the office when Richard suddenly asked, "The chief Financial Officer recorded an expenditure of $90 million during my absence, who approved it for him?" Kelly recalled that during this time, it was Philip who approved money-related budgets while Kate was in charge of minor duties like administration. He pursed his lips for a brief moment and said, "Sir
The hair stylist came to Richard's villa at exactly 6pm. It was the same lady that made her hair the last time for the home coming party. Sarah looked at the woman in shock. How did nanny Vera manage to convince her to come to the villa and do her hair? She was a professional stylist and as such, Sarah was sure that it would be difficult to get her to do home service."Good evening, Mrs. Wilson," Maryam greeted. Sarah was surprised.Mrs. Wilson? How did she know that she was married to Richard? She didn't address her by this name the first time that she styled her hair. Sarah looked at nanny Vera curiously and wondered if she told her this. Maryam underst
Low energy songs played softly in the background. Richard and Sarah ate silently. Richard would occasionally pick food for Sarah. This wasn't good to look at especially when there were still a handful of bachelors and spinsters around the large decorated table. Those who could afford to hold their hearts, managed to secretly look a little longer while those with feeble hearts, channeled all their energies on the dishes and the drinks on the table, pretending to be invisible.Sarah didn't want this either. She secretly raised her heel under the table and matched the vamp of Richard's black shiny shoes. Richard slowly picked a piece of fried mushroom from his plate and dropped it on Sarah's, acting as if he wasn't aware of what Sarah was trying to say.She was his
It was a fun-parked dinner party. Richard and the president were discussing something very important so Sarah didn't want to sit beside him and listen to their conversations. She sat on a seat very far from them and watched the happy couples that were dancing and smiling as they held their partners.Sarah stared at them admiringly. She genuinely liked what she was seeing. She was smiling broadly at them when Kimara walked to her with four other ladies. They all looked gorgeously dressed. At a glance, one could tell the families that these girls came from. They looked very wealthy and seemed of equal status. The rich could always spot one another and would try to maintain a cordial relationship among
