Knox’s POV

I sat in the office waiting impatiently for Hunter to come with the witch, Hazel.

Jim stood across from me, fidgeting uncomfortably like he was standing on hot coals.

The door creaked open. Hunter walked in first with a deep scowl on his face, which was very unusual for him. He was followed by a young woman, probably in her early twenties, probably a few years older than Aria.

She had black hair streaked with violet at the edges, and her violet eyes gleamed with mischief.

Hazel had a smug, almost mocking smirk on her face. I recognized that smirk—she was the type who didn’t give a damn about rules, rank, or respect. Just like Jim had described.

I groaned internally.

The last thing I needed was a cocky outsider challenging my authority, and pissing Fenrir off. But if she could find Aria, I would put up with it—for now.

“Hey, Jim,” she greeted the nervous fidgeting man.

“Thanks for coming,” Jim murmured.

Her smirk widened, “Thanks for calling.” She replied, but she wasn't loo

  • A Night With The Alpha King: Rejected And Reclaimed   Chapter 172

Aria’s POV“Stand down,” Viktor said coolly, without turning his head. His voice wasn’t raised, but it sliced through the air sharply. The vampires obeyed immediately, halting in their movement, but they hissed threateningly as they eyed Knox and I with hatred, while some eyed Lilith with curiosity.Knox growled, and the wolves behind him stopped in their tracks.Shawn stepped forward slightly, his eyes scanning me from head to toe. He didn’t speak, but the slight nod of his head and the relief in his expression were enough. I gave him a soft smile in return.Silence fell again. It was the kind of silence that came before something exploded.Viktor narrowed his eyes at Knox. “Your mate brought back my mate and child, but I won't forget that you killed them. So, the next time I see you—” he said, his voice dropped. “I won’t hesitate to kill you.”Knox didn’t even blink. “You kidnapped my pregnant mate. So if I see you first, I’ll rip your heart out.”They stared at each other, without

  • A Night With The Alpha King: Rejected And Reclaimed   Chapter 171

Aria's POVViktor stood quietly behind us with an unreadable look on his face as he stared at us. Raven released a long sigh of relief, as she finally lowered her guard.Silent footsteps coming from behind drew my attention, and I turned my head.It was Lilith. She stood at the end of the destroyed hallway, beside a broken pillar. Her hair was the bright vibrant red colour that I saw from my visions, and her skin was no longer gray and sunken in like before. She was alive, and she recovered very fast. Her eyes found mine first, and she gave me a small nod, silently telling me that she was okay. I gave a small smile in reply. Then she turned to Viktor. Viktor stared at her, completely frozen. He didn’t blink. He didn’t move.Lilith took a cautious step forward, toward him.“Viktor,” she called softly, her voice trembling. “It’s me.”Viktor finally blinked, then, without a word, he began to move.He stopped in front of Lilith, and for a moment he just stared at her, like he was dreaming

  • A Night With The Alpha King: Rejected And Reclaimed   Chapter 170

Aria's POVFor a quick moment, I saw his eyes. Those beautiful gray eyes that belonged to Knox. But it vanished very quickly, and was replaced by that ugly red and black.I froze, my heart pounding faster, and my hands shaking. The beast growled deeper this time, crouching lower, getting ready to strike.I flinched instinctively as fear overwhelmed me. This was dangerous, and I was risking a lot being this close.“Keep going, Aria” Viktor said, without taking his eyes off the monster. “It’s working. You saw it, didn’t you? He’s in there.”‘Mate needs us,’ Rhea said firmly in my head.I nodded slowly. “Knox… I know you can hear me.”I took another step.“You told me once you didn’t deserve a mate like me,” I whispered. “But I never believed that because I know you. Beneath everything, you’re a good man.”The beast twitched.“Remember the first time I came to your pack?” I asked, “You started avoiding me because you were scared of hurting me.”His ears flicked.I continued. “But look ho

Aria’s POVMy legs burned as I ran out of the tomb. The sounds of growling, crashing, and fighting grew louder with each step I took. My heart was pounding so hard it hurt. Finally, I saw them, and my heart nearly stopped.A familiar large wolf had Viktor pinned to the ground, and its claws were inches from his throat as it snarled like a wild animal.Blood soaked both of them, but Viktor was worse, he was barely hanging on. His body was torn and he was breathing heavily.“Tell Lilith I love her,” he rasped weakly.Fenrir was obviously in control, so I just needed to calm him, and make him understand that I was fine.‘Announce your presence, let Fenrir know that you're alive.’ Jade instructed sharply.I didn’t hesitate. I stepped out fully and raised my voice to stop the madness.“What’s going on here?!”They both froze as they turned their heads toward me at the same time. And instantly, my blood ran cold. The wolf was Fenrir, but it wasn’t.Those eyes didn't belong to Knox, and they

Aria’s POV (after she touched the stake)Everything went black.I didn’t feel the marble platform under me anymore. I couldn't feel my body at all.I was floating, or maybe falling. It was hard to tell. It was pitch-dark, so I couldn't see anything.“Jade?” I called. I needed to first make sure that she was with me.‘I’m right here. Now, let's—”A faint whisper reached my ears.I turned sharply. “Did you hear that?” I asked.‘Yes, I did. Follow it,’ She replied.“But how, everywhere is dark. I can't see anything.”Immediately I finished speaking, a faint light shone ahead. It was weak, but it was enough to guide me forward through the long dark hallway that seemed endless.“I guess I don't have a choice,” I mumbled to myself. My feet didn’t touch anything, but I moved toward the light, almost like I was gliding.“You’re not supposed to be here.” A voice rasped sharply.I paused. It was Lilith. She was sitting on the floor, right in the middle of the endless hallway that seemed to go on

  • A Night With The Alpha King: Rejected And Reclaimed   Chapter 167

Viktor’s POVThe wolf king growled menacingly. I could see his muscles tensing to pounce at me.I clenched my fists tightly as I stared at the monstrous wolf before me.The shadows danced over his huge wolf form, and I resisted the urge to gulp. His eyes were a weird red and black swirl that burned with feral rage, and had no humanity in them. His ferocious wolf had taken over, and he was not going to stop until there was a bloodbath.I gritted my teeth as I stared at the beast before me. All I wanted to do was unleash everything I had kept buried since the day he killed Lilith. All my fury and pain was begging to break free. But I couldn’t. That wasn't me anymore. And for Aria's sake also.If I killed her mate, I was very sure that she would feel it, and it would most definitely distract her from what she was doing, which was not a very good outcome.I wanted to talk sense into him without spilling blood. But this? This beast wasn’t thinking. Staring into his eyes now, those feral ey
