It's only only when his soothings words keeps on coming, and his fingers drawls small circles around my back in an attempt to calm me down that I realize what I'm doing and almost as if a force acts against me, I move away from him as fast as possible. Furiously rubbing my thumb against my cheek, drying off my tears.
Why the hell did I do that? Why the hell did I allow myself to become a sobbing mess in front of him and seem like a pathetic little girl, even though I know I am. I don't want to ever let anyone see me like that. Like this.
Why the hell did I allow myself to seek solace from the one person who's the cause of my never ending pain and living nightmares.
"Are you okay?"
He asks again, his voice softer than it has ever been, and my head snaps up to him as I glare at him through my eyes.
