"Mama."

"Elan, my son." I screamed aloud.

"Scarlet, what happened?

How you're feeling right now." Samuel's voice reached my ears.

"Look, Samuel, I think Elan is right here with me; I heard his voice. Where is my son?" I opened my eyes, looking around for any sign of Elan.

"Scarlet, you don't need to worry about your children. Just relax. They're doing fine." Samuel extended a glass of water to me.

"Are you telling the truth?"

"Yes, my dear wife. Our kids are fit and fine. They were waiting for you to wake up right here."

"You are lying, that's for sure. I have no faith in you. If they were waiting for me, why can't I see them?" Samuel's word is hard for me to trust because he can do anything to soothe me right now.

"Trust me, Scarlet—they were in this room just before you woke up, and they were right here."

"No, I'm not going to trust you." I shook my hand in rejection.

"Why do you not have faith in me?

Tell me why I would deceive you." He grinned
