"Please get ready quickly, Scarlet; it's getting late." Samuel called out from the corridor.

"Samuel, I need your help. I'm not able to handle everything by myself." I dressed Elena.

"Scarlet, I sent you out of the office early, so why are you running late?" He came into my room and stared at me, bewildered.

"I thought you were her bridesmaid, but you still haven't gotten dressed." Samuel expressed his displeasure to me.

"Samuel, stop acting like a typical husband. My circumstance is no secret to you; managing a multi-billionaire company while caring for your twin children is no picnic." I gave him a furious glance.

My constant disarray, both in appearance and behavior, was a constant target of his taunting critique.

"You want to do everything on your own because you don't trust your husband, even though I didn't ask you to take on too much work at the workplace."
