She seemed thoroughly flustered and upset with her BFF.
"What do you mean?" Carolina was genuinely confused at her friend's words.
"You know what I mean. I know we have both been super busy and haven't had time to talk. Honestly, I thought you were too busy with your mom for dating, but now I'm thinking that was a cover. Did you lie to me, Carolina ?"
Carolina could see the hurt in her friend's face. That hadn't been her intention. Everything in her life seemed to be moving so fast. Her mother.Geo. The school. Now her BFF was questioning her loyalty and friendship.

Carolina was in better spirits when she came back to the Hospital. When she got out of the elevator Carolina saw Geo waiting at the nurses' station.
