Chapter 109: jealously

Diana’s POV

I woke up with guilt heavy in my mind.

My mother was beside me, and Star…my sweet son…was sitting close, playing with my fingers like he always did when he thought I was sad. They were here, trying to take care of me, trying to make me smile. But no matter how much comfort they gave, I couldn’t shake the weight in my heart.

I felt terrible.

Yes, I had survived something dark…something no one should ever go through. But while I was fighting for my life, time didn’t stop. The world kept moving. Orders were missed. Promises were broken. And the one person I owed the biggest apology to… was Chris.

He didn’t just run any company. He ran the company I delivered to the most. Every week, without fail, he trusted me to show up with fresh cakes and pastries. But I hadn’t been there. Not even once since it all happened.

  • A Pulse And Betrayal    Chapter 110: Coming Home

Chapter 110: Coming HomeDiana’s POVThe hospital room smelled like antiseptic and baby powder. The sunlight came in through the window like it always did, but this morning felt different. Lighter. Quieter. Free.I was finally going home.“Are you sure you want to sit up now?” my mom asked, fussing with the edge of my wrapper. “Let the nurse help you.”I smiled softly. “I’m okay, Mama. I want to do it myself… just this once.”She sighed but stepped back, letting me pull myself up from the bed slowly. My body still ached in places, and the bandages on my side reminded me I wasn’t completely healed. But I was standing. I was moving. I was alive.Xander’s POVI stood by the hospital window, sipping coffee. Diana was asleep again, Star curled beside her like a kitten. The boy wouldn’t let her go. Not even for a minute.I watched them, my heart tight in my chest. Her son.She had a child. And not once… not once did she tell me about it.I ran my hand through my hair and sighed. It shouldn’

Chapter 108: Rebuilding Us Diana's povThe morning sun slipped through the hospital window, warm and gentle. It touched everything…..the chair, the sheets, the machines….but most of all, it touched my heart.I blinked my eyes open slowly. I wasn’t in a dark warehouse. I wasn’t tied up or hurt. I was in a hospital room, in a clean bed, wrapped in soft sheets. The smooth sound of a beeping monitor reminded me I was alive. And then, I saw him.Star, my little boy, was curled up beside me. He had cried so much the night before that he fell asleep while still hugging me.His small hand held my shirt tightly. Like he was afraid I’d leave again. My eyes filled with tears.I turned my head and kissed his forehead gently. “I’m right here, baby. I’m not going anywhere.”For a moment, I just watched him breathe. He looked so peaceful, so innocent. He was the reason I survived. The reason I kept fighting. I could’ve given up, but I didn’t… because of him. There was a quiet knock on the door. I l

Chapter 107: The Final BlowDiana pov My whole body felt heavy. My cheeks burned from her slap. My wrists were raw from the ropes. But somehow… somehow, I was still breathing.Mercy’s words echoed inside my skull like hammers…every insult, every lie, every time she spat on the truth.I was nothing? A disgrace? A mistake? No.Not anymore. As the police shouted, swarming in with their guns raised, Mercy froze like a wild animal caught in headlights. I saw fear flash in her eyes. That’s when something in me snapped.I pushed against the cold floor with every ounce of strength. My body screamed, but I stood. My knees were all aching, and my breath shook, but I stood.“Mercy!” I shouted. She turned around, startled…maybe thinking I would beg to release her or cry for her Mercy. But not this time.I worked toward her, and before anyone could stop me, I raised my arm…SLAP!A dirty, loud, full-force slap across her face. Her head twisted from the force. Her mouth dropped open in shock. The

Chapter 106-Justice Will Be ServedMERCY POV So… Diana has a son?I laughed. “Wow. Do you have a child? You’re not even ashamed of yourself.”I strolled across the dusty floor of the warehouse, smiling to myself.“Who got you Pregnant… and still looking and acting like you’re some pure angel. You’re not. You’re a disgrace to our family. A big one.”I hissed and shook my head.“I feel sorry for the man who got you pregnant. Whoever he is, he must have the worst luck in the world….imagine ending up with someone like you.”Diana looked at me with tears in her eyes. I didn’t care.I stepped closer, lowered my voice, and spat the words out.“Girls like you don’t deserve anything good in life. I remember John your beloved husband telling me that he was feeding you with drugs that would prevent you from getting pregnant because he didn’t want to end up with an unlucky person like you. You think helping me in the past makes you better than me? That I owe you forever because you gave me a pla

I stare into the mirror and whisper and “Today, Diana falls.”I changed….quickly but carefully into a hoodie and sweater that covered my face.I packed my cross‑body bag with three champagne glasses and the bottle for our toast.I gingerly put on sunglasses, even
