We enter the main space, but he doesn’t stop, he pulls me straight into the bedroom and I can hear his heart beating faster. “Marcus, I– ” My words are silenced as he presses me against the door, devouring my lips and sucking the air right out of my lungs. My body’s reaction to him is automatic; instinctive. I fist the lapels of his jacket and pull him against me, needing to feel his body crush mine. Our lips are moving at a speed that screams hunger. “Hearing you stand up for me like that was one of the sexiest things I’ve ever fucking heard,” he growls seductively as he trails hot kisses down my neck as his hands explore my body. “I couldn’t stand her talking about you… like that,” I breathe out trying to remember how to speak as his kisses send tingles of pleasure right to my core. “Fuck, I love you,” he says as his mouth latches onto my mark and his hands knead my breasts through my corset. A cry of pleasure leaves me as his tongue lavishes my mark and wetness pools between my
It’s been a month since the Luna ceremony and life has never been better. We’ve had a lot of new changes – mostly to hierarchy structure in the pack. Eric, as the second Beta of the pack, has taken on a lot of ‘traditional’ Luna roles. He oversees pack events and gatherings and his pack support group continues to work wonders. He’s basically the pack’s resident therapist, which I’m realising many were in desperate need of. Being superhuman beings we tend to brush aside our mental health and wellbeing and it’s definitely something that needed to change, so I’m thrilled it has. Evalyn still holds the title of Gamma but now she works alongside her brother Chris handling pack finances. She’s not as skilled in that area as he is, but the woman knows how to budget and she’s a good go-between for the pack and Chris. Evalyn was never going to be built for fighting and physical labour, but she wants to contribute as a ranked member, and nowhere does it say how those bonded to a ranked member n

I’m awoken to the dreadful sound of my alarm. Well, technically it’s my phone playing ‘Kokomo’ by The Beach Boys, but since I’ve selected it as my alarm tone I’ve begun to hate the song with a passion. I love that song but if I keep using it to wake me up in the morning I may never want to hear it ever again.I reach over and turn off my alarm and roll on my back taking a moment to relax and enjoy the peaceful silence and darkness of my room. This is the only time of the day when I can feel calm before I step out into the chaos that is my life.“So, what’s on the schedule today?” asks Zara in my head. Zara is my wolf spirit. Now before you go jumping to conclusions and calling me a ‘werewolf’, allow me to explain some things.By a human’s definition I am a werewolf, but please don’t ever call us that. We really hate it. What I, and the rest of my kind, are actually ca
Vitali and Tyson are ahead of me trying to outdo each other but I’m keeping a steady pace. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. There’s no prize for first place but I still save my energy for the final lap, unlike these two. Running isn’t just about staying fit; it’s about understanding and increasing our stamina; learning how to preserve our energy and when to tap into it. Every exercise we do has a purpose, but most don’t seem to get that. “Good morning, sweetheart,” comes my father’s voice through the pack-link. “Good morning dad,” I say cheerfully. “How’s training this morning?” “So far so good, I’m on my tenth lap,” I tell him. “Keep it up. After training, come to my office, we need to talk about your Alpha ceremony,” he tells me, and I detect an edge to his voice. “Is everything okay?” “Just some matters we need to be prepared for. Also, your mother wants to go over some party details with you.” “Don’t you want to help her with that?” I ask slyly. “That’s not funny, Amelia. I
After training I run to the dining hall, fill up a plate with as much food from the buffet as I can, grab a bottle of apple juice and race to my father’s office. We wolves burn off calories super-fast thanks to fast metabolisms, so we need to eat a lot for energy and right now I’m desperate to get some food in me, but I need to talk to my dad. So I decide I can snack on this while we have our meeting and then I’ll go back down for more later. I reach dad’s office and I hit the buzzer next to the door. The majority of the rooms in the packhouse are soundproof. It’s hard to have private meetings or be intimate when people with super hearing are all over the place, so soundproofing is pretty necessary, but that also means me knocking is pointless and him yelling ‘come in’ is equally pointless. So you have two options, use the pack-link for entry or use the buzzer that is installed in every room. The buzzer makes a knocking sound, so it at least has the illusion of someone knock
We cross a few more T’s dot a few I’s and I rush out of the office taking my empty plate with me. I run the plate to the kitchen – vowing to return for more food soon – run all the way to my suite, dash into my room and jump in the shower. Once I’m clean I run into my closet and get dressed opting for black skinny jeans, Vans, and a white turtleneck. I leave my hair down to dry and race down to the Delta suite on the third floor. Days like today I am grateful for wolf speed, although you really can’t rush a shower. Well, maybe if you’re Superman or the Flash. I ring the buzzer and wait. A moment later Chris is answering the door with a relieved look on his face. “That was quick,” he smiles. “You know I hate to keep people waiting,” I say stepping in. He nods in agreement shutting the door behind me. The suites are all relatively the same with the main entrance of the suites being communal areas. In this one, the door is on the far right side of the room and stepping in the first t
It’s 8 am when my eyes finally open, since I felt I deserved a little sleep-in. Look, I know 8 am doesn’t sound like a sleep in but compared to my usual schedule it is. I can see Zara is still softly sleeping away in my mind and I smile. Perfect, I can execute my plan. But I can’t risk her waking up or knowing what I’m doing, so I put a barrier up between us in my mind. I rarely ever do this, a lot of people – especially those at odds with their wolf spirit – tend to keep them silenced fairly often. I think it’s quite cruel and stupid. I could never keep Zara locked away like that, I love her too much. That may sound vain since I’m talking about a personality in my head, but Zara is her own entity, we just share a vessel is all. Getting out of bed I give my body some stretches and twists before I leave my room and the Alpha suite. On my way downstairs several pack members stop me to kindly wish me a happy birthday and I thank each of them. I then make it out
