"This is between Mr. and Ms. Brooks. It has nothing to do with us, and we will not comment on this or disclose any information," one of the two bodyguards said to Richard.

Richard suddenly clenched his fists tightly, almost falling as he felt the pain swallowing him like a storm. He could barely stand the pain. He shoved past the guards and rushed out.

His thoughts were numb as he went straight to the Brooks residence.

When he arrived, the front gates were already open, as if they were expecting him to come get an answer.

Richard drew a deep breath, his face pale. He bit the tip of his tongue, and the taste of blood was in his mouth. He forced himself to stay conscious despite the exhaustion, the injuries, and the crushing despair.

Step by step, he walked inside.

Mr. Carson came from the living room and didn't stop Richard from entering. Instead, he only stared at Richard with a look of contempt.
