My uncle buys an expensive insurance policy for my grandmother, who has cancer. To avoid implicating himself, he makes me take care of my grandmother during dinner. My mother agrees and forces me into submission, saying that it's my duty to care for her. Then, she hands me my grandmother's medication, which has been switched out for poison. Later, my grandmother dies of poisoning. My uncle and his family claimed I did it to collect the insurance money and even took me to court. I end up behind bars after being wrongfully convicted. I become public enemy no.1, and everyone hates me. I am executed in the end. When I open my eyes again, I'm taken back to that fateful night.

A Reunion Behind Bars Chapter 7
I gave him a slight smile. That was right—George was the one who handled Uncle Jackson and Aunt Maria at the time. But he was dressed in a suit and didn't have a mustache at the insurance company. He looked completely different when they met again later. Uncle Jackson exclaimed, "No wonder he looked familiar to me back then!""That's why, perhaps there are some things you'll need to explain to the police," I said.Uncle Jackson's family panicked and tried to run, but the sound of police sirens echoed across the fields. In the end, Uncle Jackson and Aunt Maria were arrested. With cooperation from the pharmacy, it was confirmed that Aunt Maria was the one who purchased the poison. Everything was finally resolved, and Mom was released after only a day in custody. However, she seemed to have aged ten years. In my past life, I had the same experience. I spent a whole month in custody. Despite being in my early 20s, I ended up with graying hair. Now, Mom finally saw Uncle Jacks

I furrowed my brows. I was framed in my previous life. In this life, it turned out to be Mom. Mom panicked and tried to explain desperately, "I didn't! I didn't kill my mother, let alone commit insurance fraud!" "We've found that you purchased an insurance policy for your mother with a payout of 500 grand. We'll need your cooperation for further investigation," the police said sternly. He gestured for his officers to take Mom away. I immediately understood when I caught sight of the meaningful smile on Uncle Jackson's face. It was typical of this cunning fox. He always prepared several escape routes for himself. I planned to pin the crime of poisoning Grandma on him so that they could reap what they sowed. However, I didn't expect them to use Mom as a scapegoat. As Mom was being taken away, Uncle Jackson feigned an expression of shock and outrage. "Grace, how could you poison and kill our mother? How could you be so foolish?" The other relatives were uncomfortable with the

The next day, I used the excuse of signing up for a graduate school preparation course to leave the apartment. I found out from George that Uncle Jackson refused to believe my words. He went to check out the house that belonged to my parents and ran into him. George looked fierce and intimidating. When they saw his muscular physique, Uncle Jackson and his family were so afraid that they fled in a panic. Aunt Yvonne also sent me a message. As expected, Mom had gone to find Uncle Jackson but was kicked out by him. Mom returned to my apartment with her tail between her legs. Seeing only Aunt Yvonne there, she shamelessly decided to stay. A week later, we got news of Grandma's passing. At the funeral, Uncle Jackson discreetly dropped a few eyedrops in his eye. When he turned around, his face was covered with tears. Seeing this, the relatives praised Grandma for raising such a dutiful son who stayed by her deathbed in her old age. I scoffed and walked up to him confidently.

I contacted a friend of mine, George Lance, after returning to the apartment. He was muscular and had a mustache. I trusted him enough to transfer the apartment to his name. Right after I had finalized the property transfer, I came home to find Mom rummaging through my stuff. My gaze turned icy at that moment. "Mom, what are you looking for?""The property deed! Where did you put it?" Mom got straight to the point and walked up to me with a frown. "Wallace is preparing to study abroad, and he needs a sum of money right now. Hand over the property deed now. Your uncle and his family will be here soon," she said. I laughed in disbelief. How could she say something like that with a straight face? Back when Wallace failed to get into college, Uncle Jackson and his family had the audacity to ask Mom for money to send him to college. Without hesitation, she gave them 200 grand. That was Dad's hard-earned money!Dad only left behind this apartment after he was gone, and yet Mom want

"That's enough!" Uncle Jackson realized I was onto them. He gave Aunt Maria a meaningful glance. She opened the door and hurried outside, crying and wailing as she went. Her loud cries echoed through the quiet village. The nosy villagers loved a good spectacle. When they heard her cries, many of t

"Your uncle's talking to you, yet you're zoning out? Show some respect!" Mom's impatient voice jolted me out of my reverie, as if I had been transported back in time. The aroma from the table full of dishes and Uncle Jackson's meaningful smile brought me to my senses. I was transported back to the

This time, I made the right bet. "Why are you guys bullying Rachel again?" Aunt Yvonne dropped her luggage at the door and walked over with a frown. She helped me up and swept a sharp gaze over the group behind me. She continued, "I already heard people gossiping about our family when I entered
