Time seemed to slow, stretching each passing second into an eternity as Axe's words reverberated through the room, sinking into the marrow of every bone.

Darting his gaze, Azrael's eyes flickered with a desperate plea, as the broken wine bottle pressed even tighter against his throat, the sharp glass biting into his skin, threatening to slice open his jugular with even the slightest movement.

Blood trickled down his neck, staining his crisp white collar, as his every breath became a precarious dance between life and death.

Around them, the club's customers stood frozen, their wide eyes reflected a mixture of fear, awe, and unsettling excitement.
