Madison

Alexander stood beside my desk, looking unfairly composed, while I probably resembled a startled cat.

"Your mother's medical bills." He placed a business card on my desk. "Send them to this email address. I'll have my team transfer her to Hallmark Hospital."

"Oh." I blinked at the card, my brain struggling to shift gears from 'almost sex' to 'serious conversation.' "That's... thank you. Really. I mean, Hallmark Hospital is—"

"The best in the city." He cut off my rambling with that amused smirk. "I know."

I picked up the card, my fingers brushing against his. The brief contact sent electricity shooting up my arm. "I'll send these over right away."

"Good." His eyes darkened as they swept over me, lingering on my still-flushed cheeks.

I glanced at my watch, desperate for a distraction from his intense gaze. 7:47 PM. How had it gotten so late?

"I should probably head home." My voice came out shakier than intended. "It's getting late."

"My driver will take you."

"Oh no, th

MadisonWe strolled leisurely, stopping occasionally to watch street performers: a mime creating impossible shapes with his body, a string quartet playing classical renditions of pop songs, and a magician performing card tricks that defied explanation. "Wait here," Alexander said suddenly, disappearing into a shop before I could respond. I leaned against a column, watching the bustling crowd. Tourists mingled with locals, everyone seemingly caught up in the energy of the place. A few minutes later, Alexander returned with a small bag. "What's that?" I asked suspiciously. "A souvenir." He handed me the bag. "Open it." Inside was a delicate silver bracelet with a small charm in the shape of the London Eye. "Alexander, you didn't have to—" "I wanted to," he interrupted. "Something to remember today by." I held out my wrist, and he fastened the bracelet with careful fingers. The metal was cool against my skin, the charm catching the light as it dangled. "Thank you," I said softly

MadisonThe meal that followed was a revelation. Course after course of exquisitely prepared dishes arrived at our table, each more delicious than the last. "This is incredible," I said between mouthfuls of a perfectly seared scallop. "Better than the ones at The Savoy?" "Different. But yes, maybe better." Alexander looked satisfied as if my enjoyment of the meal was a personal victory. He raised his glass. "To your first visit to London." I clinked my glass against his. "To unexpected tours and excellent guides." His eyes held mine over the rim of his glass. "The tour's just beginning." After lunch, we continued our exploration with a visit to the Tower of London. The ancient fortress loomed over the Thames, its stone walls telling stories of power, imprisonment, and execution. "This is where Anne Boleyn was beheaded," Alexander said as we walked through the courtyard. "And where the princes disappeared." "The princes in the Tower," I nodded. "I read about them in school."

MadisonThe London Eye stood proud in the distance, and I felt a flutter of excitement at seeing it up close. Despite my attempts to maintain a cool, professional demeanor, I couldn't help but feel the childlike anticipation bubbling up inside me. "Ready?" Alexander's voice came from behind me. I turned to find him sliding his wallet into his back pocket, keys in hand. The casual outfit somehow made him look even more attractive than his usual suits, more approachable and less like a CEO, more like a man. "More than ready," I replied, grabbing my purse. "Lead the way, tour guide." Alexander's hand found its familiar place at the small of my back as we left the suite. The elevator ride down was quick, and soon, we were stepping into the opulent lobby of The Savoy. "Good morning, Mr. Knight," the concierge greeted us. "Will you be needing a car today?" "Yes. We'll be exploring the city." "Very good, sir. I'll have it brought around immediately." Within minutes, a sleek black Ben

MadisonI reached for my phone to check the time. Just past 8 AM in London. I had a text from Hazel asking how London was, followed by a string of suggestive emojis. I smiled, typing a quick reply promising details later. Alexander emerged from the bathroom with a towel slung low on his hips, droplets of water still clinging to his chest. I tried not to stare, but I failed miserably. The white towel did little to conceal the impressive outline beneath it, and I quickly averted my gaze, feeling the heat rise to my cheeks. "Bathroom's all yours," he said casually, as if completely unaware of his effect on me. He moved to the closet where his clothes had been unpacked, the towel shifting dangerously with each step. I slipped out of bed, grabbed my robe, and hurried past him. "Thanks. I'll be quick." The bathroom was still warm and steamy from his shower. I turned the water as hot as I could stand it, letting it wash away my lingering sleepiness. After shampooing my hair with the hote

Madison"It's not jealousy. It's an observation." I speared another scallop. "Have you ever considered that sticking with one person might actually be more satisfying than this endless parade of conquests? That maybe there's something to be said for knowing someone deeply instead of just physically?""And you think you know me deeply?" His voice dropped lower, a challenge in his tone."I know enough." I met his gaze steadily. "I know you hide behind your Playboy reputation because it's easier than letting anyone see who you really are."Alexander leaned back, surprise flickering across his face. "That's quite the psychoanalysis from someone who agreed to a business arrangement disguised as a relationship.""I never claimed to be perfect." I shrugged, taking another sip of wine. "But at least I'm not afraid of genuine connection.""You think I'm afraid?" He laughed, but it didn't reach his eyes."I think you've convinced yourself that variety equals freedom when really it's just anothe

MadisonThe car pulled up to The Savoy, where uniformed doormen sprang into action. Alexander didn't wait for the driver, opening his door and circling around to my side. The night air carried a slight chill, and I pulled my light jacket closer as we approached the entrance. The lobby took my breath away. Crystal chandeliers hung from ornate ceilings, casting a warm glow over marble floors polished to mirror-like perfection. The space hummed with quiet luxury, staff moving with practiced efficiency, guests speaking in hushed, reverent tones. "Mr. Knight, welcome back to The Savoy." A well-dressed man with an impeccable posture approached us. "We've prepared the River Suite as requested." "Thank you, Adam." Alexander nodded, his hand still at the small of my back. "This is Madison Harper." "A pleasure, Ms. Harper." Adam bowed slightly. "Your luggage has already been taken up. If you'll follow me." We bypassed the check-in desk entirely, heading straight for a private elevator. The
