VIVIAN

I screamed at Zander with all the anger in my chest, “What the hell are you doing?!”

The moment my voice rang through the hallway, Zander immediately pushed Caroline away like her touch had burned him.

His eyes widened when he saw me standing there, but I didn’t give him a chance to speak.

I turned around and stormed into our room, slamming the door shut behind me. My hands shook as I locked it.

He came after me quickly, knocking on the door. “Vivian! Please, just listen to me. It’s not what you think—”

“Go away!” I shouted, backing away from the door. “Sleep somewhere else. Or maybe in Caroline’s room! Since it looks like that’s who you really want!”

“Vivian, please,” he said again, his voice desperate. “It was a mistake. Please open the door. Let me explain.”

But I didn’t want to hear any more. I yelled louder to the extent I felt guilty that it might wake everyone up, “Just leave me alone, Zander!”

After a few more seconds, the knocking stopped and I heard Zander’s receding

ZANDERI heard someone call my name.At first, it sounded far away. Like a whisper carried by the wind. I wasn’t sure if I was dreaming or just lost in a deep sleep. Then I heard it again—“Zander.”It came clearer this time, but my body still felt heavy. I couldn’t move. I wanted to wake up, but something held me down.“Zander…”The voice grew louder. I felt someone shaking me, hands on my arm, pulling me gently, trying to wake me up.And I wanted to wake up. But I couldn't wake up. I tried to open my eyes.Still, I couldn’t open my eyes. Everything felt distant, like I was swallowed into an abyss. Then, suddenly, Selene appeared. She was standing in front of me in a place that didn’t feel real. Her hair flowed around her shoulders, and her eyes were calm and full of light. She looked peaceful.“Selene…” I whispered. She smiled at me. “Vivian needs you.”My heart stopped. I stared at her, confused and full of pain. “Selene,” I said, reaching out to her. “I’m so sorry. I wasn’t there f

VIVIAN I lay beside Zander, feeling his warmth, his skin pressed against mine, and our bodies still tangled from the love we just made.I gently ran my fingers through his hair and whispered into his ear, my lips brushing softly against his skin.My voice was soft and slow, and with each word, I let my magic slip into his mind like a gentle breeze.“You’re safe… you’re loved… sleep now, my Alpha,” I whispered, channeling my magic into every word. His breathing slowed, and I felt the magic settle over him like a thick blanket. His body relaxed completely afterward.A victorious smile spread across my face.Just to be sure, I nudged him lightly. “Zander,” I whispered again. Nothing. I pushed a little harder. Still nothing. My heart skipped. Was he dead? Did my magic mistakenly kill him?Oh no. I began to panic. My smile disappeared as I sat up quickly, placing a hand on his chest. I shook him harder this time. “Zander?” Still, no response.Panic hit me more like a slap this time around

ZANDERI stood at the door, staring at her. My heart felt heavy in my chest. I didn’t even know how to begin talking, but I knew I had to.I couldn’t stand the way she looked at me earlier. The way she looked hurt and betrayed. And the worst part was knowing I caused it. The one thing I swore I’d never do was hurt her, yet tonight, I broke that promise.“I have something to tell you,” I said, my voice low and thick. But instead of speaking, I got lost in my thoughts. Everything about today had gone wrong. Saying goodbye to Selene had ripped a part of my heart out. I’d grown so close to her. She was like a little sister to me. And now she was gone. Then there was Magnus. I’d never lied to him before. Not once in my life. But I did today, just so he wouldn’t ask questions and let me build that cottage for Priestess Tanya in his pack. And then came the worst part… Vivian. She had to walk out and see me in that stupid moment with Caroline.I didn’t kiss her. I never would. I never inten

VIVIAN Priestess Tanya didn’t look happy when I said I had an idea, especially after I called it crazy. Her eyes narrowed, and she crossed her arms like she already knew she wasn’t going to like what I was about to say.Still, she gave me the space to speak. “Alright,” she said carefully. “Let’s hear it.”I smiled a little, sitting straighter on the bed. “We have to sneak into Caroline’s room, knock her out so she passes out, and then I’ll undo the spell.”Priestess Tanya just stared at me.“See?” I added, cocking one eyebrow. “It’s pretty nice and easy, don’t you think?”Her mouth dropped open slightly, and she blinked twice. “Vivian…”I tilted my head, pretending to be innocent. “Yes?”“You sound like a lunatic,” she said flatly.“Hey! I’m just being creative,” I defended myself with a grin. Her face didn’t change. She looked at me like I had completely lost it.“Say something,” I said again, even though her expression already said everything.I knew she wasn’t going to agree to th

VIVIAN When Priestess Tanya said there was a problem, I frowned and shifted uncomfortably on the bed. There had always been a problem since Ronald divorced me and I had to hide all this away from my Mom whom I never hid anything from.My fingers gripped the edge of the blanket as I sat straighter. I didn’t like the way she said that, so slow and serious.I closed my eyes and let out a long breath, preparing myself for whatever was coming because I knew that it wasn't going to be anything good.“Okay,” I whispered, opening my eyes to meet hers. “Tell me. What the problem is gonna be?”Priestess Tanya looked down at her hands for a second, then back at me. “Vivian, the spell cast on Caroline… it’s not just a normal love charm. It’s a strong and dark spell. Evil. And if anyone tries to undo it, that person might be in danger. Real danger.”I felt hopeful knowing that Priestess Tanya didn’t say that the witch who tried to undo the spell would die for certain. She just might be in danger.

VIVIANWhen I got the vision. The room faded away into darkness. My fingers clenched the bed I was previously sitting on, but it was no longer there. I wasn’t in the room anymore.I was now in Caroline’s office when I saw an elderly woman putting on a hoodie and face cap which didn’t give me access to see her face well.Immediately the woman stepped Caroline, froze in place like a puppet. She struggled to talk but couldn’t. Her eyes were wide, confused, and afraid.Behind took out a red crystal and began chanting softly but fast while holding the red crystal which began to glow as she began chanting a spell. The magic flowed from the crystal and wrapped around Caroline like invisible threads. She tried to speak, but no words came out. Her lips trembled. She looked terrified. The woman then whispered, “Let his name fill your heart. Let your every thought be of him. Let the bond of obsession take root and make you come between Zander and Vivian and make sure they part ways.”At that mom
