When Nathan and Henry walked into the building they now worked at, they went highly unnoticed and walked into a conversation between the receptionist that they had had a run-in with yesterday. They didn’t even realize how serious the issue might possibly be at the office. The conversation that was going on could only be considered as office gossip, but they listen closely anyway. “Yeah, it was definitely Dr. Johnson’s car that was on the news last night, such a horrible thing to happen to her. I really hope that she’s on okay even though they said that there were no fatalities or injuries. I haven’t seen her today so she must be pretty shaken up.” The receptionist stated to the people she was talking to. A slight brown-haired woman started to speak up.
<Nathan, on the other hand, went in search of Kits immediate boss. Upon letting him know that Kit would be on personal days for the next few days and unreachable he was surprised to learn that the man was actually genuinely worried for the young doctor safety. He too had thought something along the lines that they had that this was nothing but a scare tactic one that went seriously wrong. He also began to suspect some of her military friends however he was not going to voice his opinions to anyone else other than Nathan or Matthew or possibly even Henry. He wasn’t even sure he’d bring it up to the young doctor who had become very much like a daughter to him. He only wanted her safety much like the other men. Which he didn’t understand how they could possibly care so much so qu
Henry looked at him with pleading eyes as he was apparently ready to leave and go back to the realtor. The receptionist had not taken well to the fact that she had just been dismissed and had become extremely verbally abusive to every single person that walked by. It had primarily come out exactly how she had kept her job for so long as she was screaming for the current human resources director to come and put Henry and his place. The man seemed to know what was right for him and continued to say to her that she needed to respond better and he would talk to the new bosses about her keeping her job. Henry had no intentions whatsoever to rehire such a woman. Not only had she possibly hurt one of his new friends but the simple fact that she was a vile creature and had an awful personality that he
The three men who were sitting in the car following another black sedan started to contemplate the fact that maybe the people who were driving that other car had realized they were being followed. It could also be that they were just new to the area and were exploring. It seemed that they would be going to the local mall and since it was during the day, they should be able to park somewhat relatively close to the car and wait for them to be done with their shopping. They knew that the possible stakeout might end up proving to be nothing as they weren’t even sure that the young doctor had more association with these people, however, had been a turn of luck, to spot them at the parking lot to begin following them. They knew that they must be her new bosses at least two of the three that sh
At the hotel, Matthew was sitting on the couch working on his laptop as she quietly slept next to him, as the third nap of the day had finally caught up to her as she was watching TV. Micah had left quite a bit ago, and it had just been the two of them. He started to notice that as she slept, she seemed to be dreaming or thinking of the events that had occurred over the past few days. She didn’t seem to be having her reoccurring or even a progression of that dream. It seemed that only in her on conscience dream state that she could actually piece the puzzle together. He was actually looking forward to the day that she could use that ability not asleep. It had taken quite a few years for him and the others to be able to use that ability even though they had been able to remember from a ve
“Who did this? You mean the murder of your friend? And all the rest?” He asked hesitating just enough between the questions that he could feel her nod to each. Well, he couldn’t precisely contain his own excitement over her revelation he still wanted to remain skeptical to help her come up with her theory.“I know exactly who did this. I don’t think it was just some random thing or an accident that just happened. I think they’ve been planning this for years. It could’ve been anyone it just happened to be him. Or he knew something about them that they had t
As Henry and Nathan exited the shopping center after their unexpected detour that had proved to be productive as they had bought some of the essentials that they would all need to help furnish the new houses at least for the night. Henry had begun the task of finding a rental truck for buying the more significant purchases. Like tables, lamps, possibly a couch, and a bed for each, in the case of Matthew’s house two, he would make sure she would have her own even if that meant just for one night but he didn’t see it, the situation she had found herself, ending that quickly. He had instructed Nathan as to where he needed to be dropped off for the truck and would head off to start finding the things that they would all need for the night.
While the other three people who were in the party were waiting for the fourth to arrive, they were slightly surprised that he wasn’t already there waiting for them. Punctuality was his number one pet peeve, so for him to be late, the new something must have happened. They wanted to check in with him to let him know that they had spotted the people that she had been less seen with and though nothing spectacular happened and nothing out of the ordinary they still have not found her or any hopes of locating her. She had genuinely gone to ground, and at this point, they were questioning what their next move would be. They didn’t know her as well as he did though they all had considered her a friend and not a passing acquaintance, he knew her as a close personal friend to the point tha
He sat in the darkened room as he contemplated his next thoughts. He knew that he wasn’t in the right frame of mind to make any real decisions and the fact that he just blew off his three closest colleagues and accomplices was probably going to be his downfall, in the end, it wouldn’t be her that brought the end it would be them. He was in a place in his own mind where he could remember watching over her and trying to teach her what friendship and trust were; he had to laugh to himself at the same time because he was the one who ordered his friends to continually torment her over the past 24 hours. It was all on him. He knew that he had done wrong and he had taken things way too far to the point that another friend had died. He had that on his shoulders now, and he probably would’ve gotten away with it and even wouldn’t have had to take any action against her, his sweet Kit, one of his most dearest friends if he hadn’t been so stupid a few nights prior. He didn’t know what it actually
