Thirteen

Amaly’s POV

After running for miles we get to the lake. The water a soft turquoise color with a small waterfall. Under the streaming waterfall there is a very small cave like area with flat rocks you can sit on under it. Surrounded by trees and vines growing all around the rocks. It’s was a hidden nature. I would come here to think at times. The serenity of it and the peace it gave. There were only a few that knew of this place. Mostly my family and occasionally Olivia. She would come here with me. It was always relaxing here and gave me time to just take in everything around me.

Akira drops our clothes from her mouth then she runs and dashed into the lake. Akira letting me shift back to myself. Swimming and splashing, letting the water run through my body. I wished I had a house right in front of this lake. Like the lake house Allen took me too that one blood moon night.

Allen. How my heart ache letting him in and giving my heart to him. I was so stupid to think I would actually be with him for the rest of my life. Knowing that a part of me still hoped for my fated mate. And also knowing that in the end, one of us would end up with our destined mate. My heart was stuck on someone else but the whole time I thought I was dreaming.

Was that why I was always drawn to him when we were younger. Like something always made me cave in to make sure he was always good and taken care of. He had all these other she wolves literally throwing themselves at him that he barely noticed me. Or so I thought.

Then came along Tiffany. I wonder what happen between the two. She was the only one I’ve actually really seen around Jaxxon. I heard rumors that she was his chosen but when I mentioned it to Olivia, she went haywire. She hated Tiffany with a passion. Apparently, someone Olivia was dating and pursuing basically got caught sleeping with Tiffany. She had found her way into the man’s bed and Olivia catching them together. Ever since then, Tiffany’s track record has always given her trouble. Probably one reason Jaxxon never took her seriously.

As I’m into my thought, I hear twigs snapping and I turnt to that direction of the sound.

Alpha Theo.

He comes through the small clearing and smiles at me. I’m not sure how to feel being bare naked in the water with a stranger staring at me.

“Hello princess. I didn’t mean to intrude in your alone time, but I couldn’t help not to follow.” He says kindly in a sweet tone. “I’m Alpha King Theo of the Southern Border Territory.”

So that’s the aura oozing from him. He was an Alpha King. But what did he want with me..

“Hi. I’m uhhhh…..”

“The beautiful princess and twin sister of my fellow Alpha King David”, he says so clearly. “Your quite the sight. I’ll head back to the pack house and wait for your company. Or would you like to walk with me back?”

I gulped not knowing how I was going to get out of this water without revealing my entire body. As if he knew what I was thinking, “Princess, don’t mind me. I will turn the other way. I would never forced myself to peak without your permission.”

Peak without my permission? What?

He turns the other way and walks towards a tree and gives me the time to dry myself and put my clothes on.

After getting dress, I walked towards him and stopped, “Ok, I’m ready to head back if you are Alpha King Theo.”

“Please, call me Theo. Shall we?” As he held his right arm to guide me in the direction to the pack house.

We’re walking side by side and the awkwardness coming from me was nerve wrecking. Here’s this furiously huge alpha male that oozes so much power but one of the most handsome Alphas I’ve ever seen. Besides of course, Jaxxon. He was much bigger then Jaxxon though. It’s the power of being an Alpha King. They are more dangerous, larger, more ferocious and vicious then normal Alpha’s. I don’t really consider Jaxxon normal either. He was a god in my eyes..

“I’m sorry I didn’t introduce myself earlier as I was caught off guard.” I said shyly.

“That’s totally understandable. I was a little lost in your beauty when I caught a glimpse of you in the car. I wasn’t prepared for it. I tried to walk to you myself but your brother had appeared.”

“Oh… is that so? Was there a purpose of you traveling so far from your territory to be here on ours?” I asked curious.

He chuckles and grins at me. He had a beautiful smile.

“Actually, there is.” He paused. “I came for you.”

I stopped walking to make sure I heard him right and looked at him, “What do you mean? Me?”

“Well I came to ask your father for permission to court you. And he wasn’t too happy about it and really didn’t give me the ok”, he laughs, “but your brother on the other hand didn’t say no and left it up to you.”

Really? David would? Jaxxon was his best friend. Would he really betray his friend like that? There’s probably more to the story then what is in plain site.

“Interesting that he would.” I say. “And if I reject the invitation…?”

“I don’t think you would. I also don’t think you would accept the repercussions of denying me. All I’m asking for is a chance to get to know one another and start from there.” He looks deep into my eyes and I almost felt like I was being hypnotized by this beautiful creature. “Let me take you out for dinner tonight. Treat you to a good evening with the two of us?”

Although I was intrigued with this man, I still couldn’t stop thinking where my heart was really at. But from the lies and betrayals, I honestly didn’t want to give in.

“Okay.”

As we get to the front of the pack house, he turns to face me. The gentle look he has seems to be genuine. When he looks at the others, there’s a different demeanor about him. As if he was willing to give me to world to make me happy. Kind of resembling a past I once had. Not sure if I would trust it.

“I’ll go to the lodge where you brother has placed myself and my entourage. I will be back here at 7pm to pick you up on the dot Princess. Don’t keep me waiting.” He laughs. As he grabs my right hand and kisses it. Little tingles dangled on my hand. Not as strong as the one Jaxxon has when he held me that day at his pack house.

I nodded to the alpha and watched as he turned and started walking towards his driver who is leaning against the hood of the car that they came in. They get in the car, and drive around the round about driveway as Theo stares smiling at me. I felt a flutter through me.

I turned to walk into the pack house as my father stands at the doorway watching everything unfold. He looked furious.

“Did I do something wrong?” I asked my father.

“I don’t trust that man. He has every intention of making you his mate Amaly. Remember that you actually have a fated mate. What you do will have consequences. Remember that?” He says sternly as if he was warning me.

“A fated mate that hid the fact that we were mates for two years and commanded those close to him to not speak about it. A mate that knew of me for two years father. Two years. What I do now is entirely up to me.” I said as I try to walk past him.

He grabs my right arm to stop me. “He values you Amaly. You know you carry his heart. It was never hard to notice that. If you pursue a relationship with this Alpha. Just know that the mate bond has been put into place and that the both of you will feel everything you do to one another. Think about it. How much it’ll hurt Jaxxon if you touched this man. He didn’t accept your rejection, the bond is still there and will only get stronger… you have to……”

“Father.. are you worried for Jaxxon.. or are you worried for me?“ I looked into his eyes before i gently yanked my arm from him before ascending the stairs to our floor and into my room.

I get inside my room and went straight into my bathroom. Luckily I get my own bathroom and don’t have to share. Unlike my younger siblings who are currently sharing rooms with their twin. Trying to replay what just happened between me and Alpha Theo. Was this a coincidence?

A vision appeared with Jaxxon and another she wolf. I couldn’t see her face as her back was towards me. He was hugging her as if he was caressing her. His hand moving up and down her back like he was consoling her. Then he lowered his head to kiss her as he lifted his eyes to acknowledge me in what he was doing, his eyes boring into mines as if to see my reaction. I turnt and walked away. And the vision disappears..

My hands begin to shake. Just breathe, I tell myself as my body starts to feel hot as my hands starts tingling as I can feel some type of power at my tips of my finger and it dissipates like it started.

I jumped in the shower trying to ignore the feelings that bombarded in my mind.

‘No matter what you choose to do, Jaxxon is the only one I will choose. Pyro is my mate just like Jaxxon is yours. That Theo is powerful but not powerful enough to have me.’ Akira says,

I’m so lost on where to start..

‘…also don’t think you would accept the repercussions of denying me’, what did he mean by that? What repercussions? I hope he goes deep into this conversation about what exactly he meant by that. I would definitely bring it up.

I get out out the shower and go straight into the closet to figure out what to wear. I grabbed a slick black bodycon dress and my favorite black stilettos. This is a date so I am going to look my best. I walk back out and lay the dress in my bed. Suddenly had a swift of Jaxxon scent. Akira jumps up wagging her tail as I looked around the room my eyes landed on the nightstand. The single rose with his scent. I walked to it and sniffed it again.

Was this wrong to consider a date with Alpha Theo? My heart was still attached to the one fated to me but I don’t want to accept what has happened. He lied and he knew about me and kept me hidden.

If he told me sooner, I wouldn’t have stayed with Allen knowing the moon goodness destined me to someone I’ve always cared for.. it’s a betrayal in my eyes. Why should I now give in to something he has known for two years.

Akira whines in my head not understanding why I was feeling the way I did. ‘He hurt when you have other alpha. Mate stay strong and wait.’

‘Did he really wait Akira? He seems to move on with life? All the other she wolves.’

‘No. He wait for you until you ready.’Akira says with hope.

‘I don’t believe it. He had a choice and he didn’t come for us no matter what anyone thought.’ The thought continues to eat me up inside. ‘Enough Akira. I’m moving on whether he accepts it or not.’

Akira whines and goes to the back of my head and puts her blocks up.

I sit at my vanity and start working on my make up. I put my hair in some hot curlers for some soft wavy curls. I decided to do a natural Smokey look to my eyeshadow and end it with some regular lip gloss.

Once I finished doing a look over, I had the most guilty feeling that I was betraying myself. Why should I feel like this when he didn’t value me before.

Here I had a very powerful Alpha that sought me out. He traveled far just for me. I would give him a chance to prove himself to me. Just because he had power and an Alpha to one of the strongest packs in the southern region, it’s not everything to me. Let’s see what he’s really about.

I look at the clock and it’s 6:45. He said 7 on the dot so let me make my way downstairs. I walk out the room and run straight into my twin, David.

“I see your going out” he says.

“Yes, with an Alpha you gave the OK to,”

“Be careful Amaly. Know what your doing and your choices. I can’t stop you. I can’t stop him. We’re both grown and…..”’ he stops as his mate comes up.

“You look beautiful Amaly. You have a date or something?” Nadia asked.

“Yes. Kinda. Just seeing how things go.” I answered nervously.

“Is it with Jaxxon? He seems like a really good match for you.” Nadia says as my brother coughs to stop her from continuing.

I looked at Nadia, “No, it’s not Jaxxon. It’s actually Alpha King Theo.”

She looked at me dead and in shock.

“But why? You have a fated that is destined to you. Don’t give yourself to another to only hurt each other.” She looked at me concerned.

“Honestly, I don’t feel like talking about who is my fated. If he could hide me for two years. I can continue pretending to not knowing. Please excuse me. I don’t want to be late for his arrival.” I turned and walked down the stairs.

The feeling was so heavy inside me that maybe this was wrong but why should I give in when I was the one hurt. I knew everyone was against me and because we were direct descendants of the moon goddess, that I was basically going against what was placed in my life.

I get to the bottom of the steps and head to the front door. I would wait for his arrival as I didn’t want to deal with another person telling me what I was doing was wrong. As soon as I opened the door, there was the handsome Alpha walking up the steps as he looks to me and smiles.

“Hello beautiful. Your gorgeously stunning.” He says to me as he observes me.

“Thank you. You are so yourself… well not gorgeously stunning but handsome…” I said embarrassingly.

He smiles at me as he holds his arms out for me. I hook my arm around his. “Let’s go. Shall we? I have reservations for us for private dining. I hope you like eating international food. I wanted to take you to get Thai food. It’s one of my favorite types to eat. I love the culture and the country.”

“Actually, I never really experienced much of their food. Just chicken pad Thai.”

“Well lucky for me, I get to introduce you to more of their dishes.”

We walk to his car, as I see another one not too far from his. He opens the door to the passenger side to let me in, and gently closes the door behind me. He walks to the driver side and gets in to start the car. He gives me a gentle smile as he steps on the gas to leave the pack house.

“I have to say, I am a little surprised you agreed to let me take you out. I was afraid I would have more push back..” he laughs out.

“Why is that?” I asked curiously.

“I thought you would have plans or someone else you rather spend the evening with. I’m very thankful you agreed.”

I turnt my head to look at him as he glanced at me with a smirk. I was really curious of what he wanted with me.

“Is there more to the story then meets the eye? Like why are you really here in our pack lands? I know you said because of me but there has to be more to it.” I said cautiously, not sure how the Alpha would take me questioning him.

He becomes silent as he looks at me and nods, “let’s discuss this at dinner. It’ll be better to have a casual conversation of your curiosity with me while we are not driving. We’re almost there anyways.” He smiles.

I returned a smile but the smile doesn’t reach my eyes. I grow nervous to think what this conversation will lead too.

We pull into a really nice restaurant and straight to the valet. Alpha Theo steps out the car as the valet attendant opens my door for me to step out. The handsome alpha was by my door to help me out as he guides me into the restaurant.

The restaurant was breathtaking. The high end decor and furnishings was astonishing. Fancy figurines of elephants throughout the restaurant to showcase their sacred animal. The lights were dim but not so dark.

The young female host with highlights in her dark brunette hair, her eyes big as she indulges in the sight of the Alpha before her. The look of lust in her face as if nothing else mattered to her. I was a bit uncomfortable as if this was not mines to claim.

I cleared my throat and the host turns to me and fixes her composure like she was embarrassed to get caught off guard.

She greets us and as soon as Alpha Theo let’s himself known to the host, she swallowed the lump in her throat. That lustful look in hers, screamed for him, but the alpha didn’t budge or even give her an ounce of attention as he looks my way.

The disappointment in her face.

“I have a reservation for private dining for two for the Alpha King Theo of the Southern Border Territory.” He says with a smile on his face as he looks into my eyes. The host nods as she looks between the both of us.

“Are you two together…….” She gets out

“YES and it’s no concern to you on what business we have here. Please guide us to our table.” Alpha Theo says almost annoyed being in her presence.

She’s gulps and nods. “This way.” Looking at Theo and then turns and guides us in a direction towards the back of the restaurant. She led us to a private room that led out to a private balcony. Candles were lit and made the scenery quite romantic. A feeling I was hesitant to feel.

The host continues to stare at the Alpha before her like she was hypnotized by his appearance. No matter how consistent the eye contact she was giving him, she failed to realize the Alpha didn’t give her an ounce of his attention.

“Alpha, If there is anything, and I mean anything……. Please come find me….” The host starts. Was she really going to keep trying with me in her presence.

“There is nothing I need from you. If I need anything I will ask the waiter. Please send my request to have only male waiters to wait for our table. I don’t need any females in desperation in my presence.” He says highly agitated with the host.

“With all due respect, Alpha. The princess already has a mate from my understanding and has for awhile. Two alphas already in her presence and now another….

I turnt my head real quick and stared at this host with somewhat rags. Where was she going with this?

“Excuse me. Where you going with this as you are here insulting me in my presence? Your infatuation with the Alpha in front of me shows your desperation for attention. I’ll advise you to leave this once or..?” I let out.

“Or what Princess? You’ve already had Alpha Allen and everyone knows that Alpha Jaxxon is claiming you. Now you have him..” she points at Alpha Theo, “stringing him along..”

I instantly heard a loud smack and vicious growl as I turned to Theo. His wolf, sky blue eyes, appeared at the surface. “How dare you insult a high ranking royalty in my or her presence. Death is a fast answer to solve your problem.”

Her face lit up frighten. “No, I am so sorry Alpha. I did not mean to insult the Princess. She has a mate already. I could be someone of value to you.” She says trying to convince the Alpha from going further.

“Alpha Theo, let it go. Desperation is seen in her face. Don’t waste another second on teaching titles and nobility to those who aren’t worthy.” I turned to look at the useless host, “like I suggested earlier, you might want to take the offer and leave at once.”

Next thing I saw were a few others that came rushing into the room. A well suited man came forward to us and then looked at his host with rage.

“May I asked what has happened here?” The man asked.

“Your host has quite the mouth and the confidence to insult royalty blood in their presence. Luckily the princess has a heart. I would ask you remove your host from my presence before she meets death at a faster pace.” Alpha Theo threatens.

“I do apologize for my daughter’s behavior..”

“I would be ashamed to have a daughter who easily throws herself at a man, or Alpha in the presence of another high ranking wolf who I have brought to this establishment for private business. What business I have here whether it is a date or not, is no one’s business but my own.”

“I’m so sorry Alpha.”, he looks at me and bows, “please forgive us your highness. I will take my daughter and assigned another to take care of your table.”

“Please assigned only men to attend to us. I don’t need another she wolf thinking to grab my attention” Theo turns to lead me to the table. He pulls my chair out and lets me sit before going to the other side.

This has been quite a day and now evening of our first encounter together. To think that I just met him earlier today and now to have an evening with him. What did I get myself into is the question.

We sat and took some time to relax a bit. Trying to gather our thoughts so we could finish the conversations we had earlier. I needed my answers too as to why he was really here.
