CHAPTER X: BREWING SUSPICIONS

SHE was summoned by the network executive that morning when she came to work. It was quite unusual since they only talked during company events and contract signings. They never really had a conversation in her office. She also didn't see any reason for her to speak with her. As far as she could remember, she hadn't committed any violations whatsoever. She also didn't receive any major awards recently for her to be called by her bosses.

"What is this all about, Miss Pam?" she asked her manager who was also with her that morning.

"Your guess is as good as mine, dear," her manager simply shrugged. It seemed like they were both clueless as to what was really happening.

"I'm sorry I got caught up in traffic," said Mrs. Cecelia De Guzman, the network executive, when she arrived in her office. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting for so long."

"It's okay, ma'am. We just got here," she pleasantly responded.

"That's great, then. So, yeah, good morni
