A love to die for....

Love ...... It's something that can make your life blissful or end your life painfully. As my soul drained out of my body slowly I realized and regretted a lot of things and I do have a lot of regrets, I wish i had a second chance to make things right and to live for myself. But it's all just my wishful thinking as I see my step sister Cordelia and my husband Liam waiting eagerly for me to take my last breath.

I was out shopping for a gift for Liam. I wanted to give him the news we both were eagerly waiting for. We were going to have a baby and I couldn't wait to start the new chapter of our lives. While I was busy in my world someone grabbed me and suddenly everything blacked out. I woke up in an empty room lying on the floor. I was freaking out, I didn't like dark places. My hands instantly covered my stomach." No, no, no, this can't be happening. My baby! Liam will be so worried" I started hyperventilating and the tears wouldn't stop. The door opened with a loud bang and I flinched, my eyes squinting to see who it was. I couldn't help my happiness, it was Liam, he had come to save me. I tried standing up but felt weak. I was reaching out for him but instead he turned around . I looked behind him and it was my step sister. I was confused as to what was going on. She came and grabbed one of Liam's arms. My forehead creased with confusion and as if sensing it she started speaking " Hello my dear sister" with a smirk and an evil glint in her eyes. She was always so innocent and naive but the person in front of me today was nothing like my baby sister. A shudder ran through my spine. I was still confused and looked between both of them again and again " what ..... What's going on ? " Cordelia came forward and grabbed my chin roughly to make me look at her "Oh nothing much sis, we are here to kill you!" She was smiling. I laughed thinking she must be joking and turned to Liam, but his gaze was cold and his face emotionless. I couldn't see the love in his eyes for me anymore. I started panicking and subconsciously covered my stomach. I was still hoping this was some kind of a joke. "Liam please tell me what's going on ?" I asked him on the brink of crying. He didn't answer, he was just staring at me blankly. Cordelia smacked me right in the face. My face whipped to the side and I was shocked to the core. I wanted to know the reason behind the sudden hate. She haunched in front of me and grabbed my hair in her fist pulling it and i screamed. " It wasn't a joke Anastasia! You are going to die today and I'll be the one to do the honours" she smirked. She pushed me back on the floor and was about to kick me when i screamed "Nooooo! Stop please, I'm pregnant. Please don't do this"I looked at Liam with hope. 

His eyes widened and then he looked angry. He came to me and grabbed my hair again, his face close to me " You bitch!" He slapped me " Who did you whore around with ? Who is the father ?" I was rendered speechless. How could he accuse me of such a thing. It was always him, it has always been him. I couldn't fathom the thought of some other man touching me other than him. "How can you ask me that? It's our child Liam and you know it. I wouldn't even imagine betraying you!" His gaze softened and i could see those eyes back that once saw me lovingly. " You are lying! She's a whore Liam and she's always had affairs behind your back." Cordelia screamed.

Liam's gaze hardened again and his jaw clenched. He slapped me. "I'm not lying, this is your child Liam you can't do this, please" I cried hysterically " please, if not for me at least for our child Liam .... stop this" Cordelia instantly kicked me and I screamed from the pain that reverberated through my body. I tried covering my stomach but it didn't help. Her kicks didn't stop and I felt limp. I cried and cried, I couldn't save my baby. 

"Urgh! Why isn't this bitch dying. I still have to go for the fitting Liam" my step sister whined. " Have a little patience sweetheart, I'm sure you'll be the most beautiful bride". My heart clenched seeing my husband,  the person I loved with all my heart love someone else. How did this happen? Why was I so naive? "Why?" I managed to speak through all the agony they had put me through physically and mentally.  "I loved you, Liam. I gave you everything to make you happy, wasn't it enough! YOU EVEN KILLED OUR BABY!" I screamed in utter anguish. "And you Cordelia, I treated you like my baby sister, I didn't care if we were half-siblings. Why would you both do this to me ?" I couldn't bear this anymore. I wanted the pain to stop. 

"God! You are so annoying even when you are dying. Well, since you have done so much for us I can at least tell you the truth. You see, Liam was always in love with me but it was you who had the property and the power left by your mother. It was all about the money sweety. You could only get everything after your marriage and Liam was the perfect candidate. We tricked you right from the start and let me tell you it wasn't even that hard. Your naive and pathetic self fell right where we wanted you to" she laughed as if it was the most obvious thing. Maybe it was, if I wasn't so naive or in love then maybe ......maybe I would have seen their true colors from the start. But I still couldn't come to terms with the fact that Liam didn't love me at all. Everything was a lie, a pretence " Liam did u ever love me? Was every moment that we spent together a lie ? " I felt pathetic to still have hope even when i was dying. He laughed as if he heard the funniest thing. He turned to Cordelia and kissed her. " I hope you got the answer you were looking for " his gaze was cold. Cordelia stepped forward and started pouring petrol all over me. I knew what was about to happen but I couldn't move. They had tortured me till I couldn't move any of my limbs anymore. This was it. I wish ...... I just wish I could have changed my fate and not fall in love with him. Through the silent tears I was waiting for the inevitable." I don't have the patience to wait anymore so bye my dear sister. I hope your afterlife is as miserable as this life" her laugh ricocheted around the room as she lit the match and everything went black.
