Nika crouched down on her knees as she recalled everything that has happened to her starting from the day she was supposed to be engaged to Raphael and now this…this..

How can people she called her parents,her own blood tell her to spend a night with that ruthless Alpha.

Even if he was a ruthless and dangerous man, couldn't her parents at least fight for her?They didn't even give it a second thought before accepting to give her to him.

They didn't even respect her,there was no way she was going to lose her virginity to a stranger.

Tears clouded her eyes as she thought of what to do.

In the royal bedroom,King Lawrence and his queen Elizabeth are both having tea.

"Nika is really stubborn,I don't know what to do about her, what are we going to do now since she refused".Elizabeth said to her husband.

"I will solve this,she has no say in this,I just want you to treat her well, don't make her to end up hating us,as you said,she is very stubborn,we have to plan this well so we won't turn out to be her enemy"Lawrence said to Elizabeth who frowned.

"I want you to show her affection this time around, show her that you love her and care about her. It's really essential for our plan to work. We have to make her feel pity for us and hatred for Regaleon,"Lawrence said, sipping his tea slowly.

"I don't really understand why you are doing all this,why do you think she can help in our plan to take over Northcrest Kingdom,she has no abilities and she isn't not even a vampire"Elizabeth said to Lawrence.

"You should know by now that Nika is the strongest of our daughters,"Lawrence said to Elizabeth.

"I know but without any abilities,how do you think she can help in our plan"

"She will be of great help because they will look down on her and see her as weak and useless,then boom,we will strike"Lawrence said smiling.

"The confidence you have in Nika is something else,is there anything else you are not telling me about her"Elizabeth said to Lawrence who sighed.

"Just forget about Nika, just do what I told you to do"Lawrence said to her and she nodded.

Back in Nika's quarters,Mara was very worried about her, she couldn't help but wonder what happened in the throne room.

"My princess,"she said, knocking on the door.

"Come in"she heard Nika's voice.

As soon as she stepped in,she saw Nika sitting in front of her dressing mirror.having served the princess for years now,she knew her well enough and just one look at her,she could tell that Nika was not doing fine although she was calm.

"Are you okay my princess,you know you can always talk to me if you need someone to talk to"Mara said to her.

"Is it that obvious that I am not doing fine"Nika said as she stared at her reflection in the mirror,a sad smile crossed her face.

"I know you well my princess,I know when you are happy,I know when you are sad"Mara said.

"What happened my princess?you have not been yourself since you left the throne room"Mara said to her.

"You are right Mara,I am not okay,my father wants me to spend a night with the alpha king of Northcrest Kingdom to avoid war"Nika announced and Mara's eyes popped out.

She was beyond shock,how could the king and queen approve to give their last daughter to the alpha king of Northcrest Kingdom who was known for his ruthlessness.this was sucide mission, staring at Nika,she couldn't help but pity her.

Not knowing what to say,she moved towards her to hug her but Nika stopped her.

"You don't have to pity me,I am okay,I have vowed never to cry for them again, while growing up,I never felt that I belonged here,today proved it, maybe am not their real daughter because I don't know why they would agree to this"Nika said controlling the tears that was about to escape her eyes.

She was really hurt but she didn't want to look weak by crying.she needs to be strong especially in this time.

"My princess, what will you do now?"Mara asked her.

"I have no plans of accepting this ridiculous request,I have to do something even if it means escaping from here"she said to Mara.

"I will support you in whatever you are planning my princess and I will go with you"Mara said to her.

Nika couldn't help but smile,she really appreciated the existence of Mara in her life but she had no plans of taking Mara with her.she didn't want to risk Mara's life.

"Before I escape,I have something to do"Nika said to Mara.
