Chapter 21

Joe stretched himself and let out a yawn as he stood up gently from the bed and sat upright.

He was expecting to see Brian beside him or around but he saw no one.

It was already morning perhaps he was around the house somewhere.

"Brian!" Joe decided to call to figure out if his suspicions were right.

Joe did not get a response from Brian, which made him anxious a little.

"Old granny!" He called the alchemist, but still yet there was no reply.

He stood up on his feet and was going to check outside the house before seeing a folded paper below his phone.

He unfolded the paper slowly to reveal a written note which seemed to be a letter.

Joe began to read the letter as it was written.

"Dear friend" it began. "I feel ashamed saying that to you". Joe gnashed his teeth just by seeing the first line of paper. It was as though he already knew what was going to be in the letter.
