EMILY'S POV. For what felt like forever, but was probably only a few minutes, I searched frantically for her, while the park continued to buzz with parents chaperoning their kids. I nearly pulled out my hair in frustration. I needed to act fast too, so I thought to call someone. Maybe Alexa. My hands shook as I opened my purse to take out my phone. While at it, my eyes breezed past the swing, and I may have caught glimpse of a familiar scarf. I did a rewind and looked back at the swing. EMILY'S POV I was still dumbfounded, staring at the picture when I heard his voice behind me. "What the hell are you doing here?" He sounded angry. And maybe... just maybe, I sensed a hint of fear in his voice as well. I turned to him. "I... I..." I tried to say something, but no words were forthcoming. I was still shocked by the discovery I just made. He was once married to Luna? I looked down at the picture in my hand, and his eyes followed my gaze, his expression tightening as he looked at it. He collected the picture from me. "Sniffing around?" His voice was low and taunting, as he shot me an irritated glare. Sniffing around? Like I was a dog. My body suddenly felt so cold. The skin along my lashes began to itch me so badly, I knew I was about to cry. With weak legs, I walked out of the room, not even bothering to explain why I had come in the first place. "Emily." EMILY'S POV I gently shut the door behind me after stepping out of Mrs Ferrari's bedroom. Dio, it was a lot. The doctor had come to check on her last night, and confirmed she had a panic-induced episode. He did say that she might seem more aware when she finally woke. Boy, was he right! Alexa was in panic mode. Her mother had indeed woken up, feeling different. Normal. What if she managed to notice the difference between uncle Massimo and her late husband? She had asked for her phone today. She had continuously demanded for Alexa and Dante's Nonno. She had demanded to know why they have been keeping her locked within the mansion. It was almost scary, how conscious she was. But most of all, I felt... worried. There was a certain manner at which she had looked at me this morning, and it made me feel like an impostor. THIRD PERSON'S POV Dante's face morphed into a raw look of disdain. This was certainly not a conversation he ever imagined having with Luna. "Are you threatening me?" He demanded, sounding quite terrifying. Luna may have folded right then. She swallowed nervously, unable to hold his eyes. Even though she once had this man wrapped around her finger, it had never disabused her of the belief that Dante could also be ruthless. "I just want you to give me another chance!" She suddenly yelled out in frustration. "Seeing you with her... makes my heart hurt so bad!" Dante wasn't sure what it was. Maybe it was the fact that his 'angelic' ex-wife who had always seemed so put together and classy, was having a literal breakdown before him, not caring that she looked crazy. TWO NIGHTS AGO. THIRD PERSON'S POV "Dante." Someone called his name and he paused, the voice all too familiar for him to not know who it was. In that moment, he wasn't sure whether to feel offended or not. He looked at Zach, trying to hide his apparent disappointment. After Zach had invited him for the suprise engagement party, one thing Dante had made sure to do was enquire whether or not Luna was going to be present.
