LOGINChloe's POV****
The last few years have taught me so much, that I could not deal with it. After I left town to start a new life, although I knew it was going to be difficult for me, I never expected the brutal life that I had to go through. Pregnant with twins, I was forced to work three jobs at a time, and after they were born, it was not an easy life for me. Yet, it was my quest for revenge that had kept me going, each time that I thought about Lyon and Chloe, I knew that I badly wanted to make it. The pain is still fresh in my heart, piercing deeply with each thought of it. But now so much had changed, even the city with the way they talked about the wedding of Mr. Richard Jones. Richard Jones seemed to be one of the most wealthy men in town, his company had several branches and his production was something that everyone looked up to. Since the death of his wife six years ago, there have been several speculations made regarding his marital status, there have also been rumors on several occasions about him getting married. Each time he was seen with a celebrity or a public figure, many had guessed they were the ones he was getting married to, he had been forced to talk about his marital status at each interview, and each time, he had always reminded them that he had no intention of getting married, his only aim was to build his company and become more successful. But after six years, Mr. Richard, who was in his late Forties had come out to announce that he would be getting married, and yet no one knew the identity of his bride, so much speculation had been made and yet no one had been able to make the right guess. Every single woman wanted it to be her, getting married to the richest man in town, and while I glanced at the screen of my phone with the speculations that were going on, a wide grin had spread through my lips. “Ma'am, how would you like your makeup to be?” The makeup artist who had been patient with me as she stood there watching me slide through my phone finally asked. I tucked my phone away, my gaze directly at the mirror before me, staring at my reflection. “I don't know, I want something mean” “Mean?” She parted her lips, her eyes staring at me perplexed. “What do you mean ma'am?” She asked no doubt that she needed clarity, the confusion on her face was amusing while I tried not to laugh. “I want something pretty, speaks confidence, sharp, and wow everyone!” I instructed hoping that with the clarity, she would finally understand what I wanted, but she only seemed to have gotten more confused. She stared blankly at me for a while before a smile swept through her lips. “I think I know what you need” And with that, she commenced work, her hand applying and parting my face with a series of makeup. All this while, I had my eyes shut, not staring at the mirror even for a second until she was finally done. “Ma'am, you can go ahead and open your eyes” As I lifted my lid, I was taken aback by the transformation staring back at me. My eyes widened in astonishment as for a moment, I doubted if that was truly me. The makeup artist had done magic on my face, her precision was accurate with the way she shimmered my eyelids with a subtle color. Everything about the makeup was what I had imagined it to be, judging by the look on my face, it was obvious that she knew I was impressed. “What do you think?” She asked but I ignored her question. Getting up from where I had sat all this while, I swirled around in my white flowery dress. “It's perfect, everything is perfect!” That was all that I needed to say to get a smile crept through her face. “It's your day, I am glad that you love it” She muttered before sprinting away. As I stood before the large hall where several guests from across the globe had all honored the invitation, first I felt nervous, slowly fiddling with my fingers. There was so much going on in my mind, I had no idea what to expect or how everyone was going to react, but I knew that I was ready, I was ready from the moment that I agreed to this marriage. “Let the bride in!” They announced everyone rose to their feet, their gaze fixed at the entrance, showing their curiosity to the identity of the bride, and as I stepped onto the hall, my wedding gown, flowed down as it swept the floor. My gaze went straight to the Altar, there was Richard fully dressed in a suit and awaiting my arrival, with each time that I took, I could see the envy in their eyes, like they wanted to take the veil away from me and place it on themselves. But just then, my eyes had locked with Lyon, I hadn't seen him since the divorce, his gaze widened, his jaws dropping to the ground. His eyes were consumed with both surprise and rage I hadn't seen in years, and even since I came back to town, somehow I had been looking forward to the first meeting with him. All this while, I had thought about what my first meeting with Lyon was going to be after Five years and indeed it was everything that I had imagined. First, I could see the admiration in his eyes, and then there was jealousy mixed with rage. I was getting married to his boss, that was a lot for his gut to take. My gaze slowly trails down to the female figure standing next to him, there were dark circles around her eyelid, no doubt that life wasn't treating her the way she had anticipated. I hope she has finally given enough children to Lyon! Beneath all of that was the fury looming in their eyes, what better revenge than the fact that I was getting married to his boss, he was angry about that and yet there was nothing he could do about it. To be continued!"You are leaving daddy for another man. I don't like you anymore, mummy. Because of that man, we can't live with daddy anymore. I don't like him too and if you bring him here, then I am not going to talk to him!" Rita said to her mother ."Rita, you have the wrong idea. That person is just my friend who has helped me a lot. He's not my boyfriend," Bridget explained.Rita finally looked at her mother when she heard this, "are you sure about that mummy? But I heard daddy say....""You don't need to take what your daddy said seriously. He was just angry and that was why he said those things. He doesn't really mean them, so don't believe those words, okay?" Bridget tried her best to convince her daughter .Thankfully, the child listened well. "Does this mean that we are going to go back to daddy if you are not dating that other man?" Rita asked .Bridget bit her lips. She had panicked just now when Cole told her that he knew about her feelings for him.
"What? No, none of that is true. You have the wrong idea," Bridget denied it."I don't believe you mom. This is why daddy is angry with you, because you are leaving him for some other man. I hate you mommy!" Rita wriggled out of her mother's arms and ran back to her bedroom as soon as she said this.Bridget turned to face a guilty Cole with annoyance on her face."Are you happy? I am sure that this is what you wanted to see, right? My kids misunderstood me and they hate me now because of you!" Bridget accused him."I am sorry, I didn't know that she was going to hear all of those things. But even the kids think you should come back home. This is not good for any of us, please, Bridget. Haven't you always wanted me to love you? Well, I am willing to love you now" Cole said .Bridget froze, and a dark look appeared on her face when she heard this."What does that mean?" She asked coldly ."Look, Bridget, I
Bridget felt tears gather in her eyes when she heard this. There was so much more that she wanted to say, and a part of her wanted to dive into his arms and tell him how much she loved him, but she couldn't do it.She couldn't hand her heart over to him again, only for him to break it in to pieces."Cole, did you forget what you said a few weeks ago? You only married me because you needed a wife. There's no reason for me to consider myself your real wife. I am tired of living like that, I just want to be a normal person who wanted to pursue a normal relationship. You are not going to take that swat from me, right?" Bridget asked .She suddenly felt drained, she wanted to crawl into her bed and sleep, she wanted so badly to forget about all of these things.Cole laughed bitterly when she said this. "I said those things back then because...""Because you never considered me a wife. You just hate the fact that I am gone and your life
Leila also refused to consider that Zain was the one who wanted to leave her, and that Bridget had nothing to do with it. She wanted to blame someone badly, and Bridget was the best person for her to blame."Don't worry about this, Leila. She has done so many disgusting things and and can't continue to get away with it. As soon as I reveal this to the media, her career will be over. She won't have the time to chase after your husband anymore," Jenna assured Leila.Leila was skeptical about this, "why are you going out of your way to do this though? I don't even know you," Leila did not believe that Jenna would be helping her for free.Jenna smiled when she heard this, Leila had no idea that she was the one helping her and not the other way around."I told you that I don't like Bridget. She has stolen so many roles from me over the years and I just want to give her a taste of her own medicine. Instead of thinking that you are helpin
Jenna walked over to the woman with a smile on her face, "you are looking for Bridget? You won't be able to find her here, since she didn't come to work today. However, you can talk to me, and I will be able to pass whatever you want to say to her," Jenna said to the woman.Leila eyed the woman in front of her suspiciously. She knew that this woman was an actress because she had seen her on television a few times, but she did not know if she could trust her.Leila turned her face away, "don't worry about it, I will just come some other time. I don't believe that I will never be able to meet Bridget! " Leila stated firmly .She was determined to have a conversation with Bridget and nothing was going to stop her. If Bridget was not willing to leave her marraige again, then she could not blame her for whatever steps she took next!Jenna was sure that this woman hated Bridget from the way she spoke of her, and that was exactly what she was looking
Zain looked up to see his wife leaning by the wall, a cruel look on her face. He had tried to avoid Leila these past few days, hoping that she would sign the divorce papers instead of making a scene with him, but no matter what he said to her, she seemed determined to cause trouble for him."Leila, just sign the divorce papers, what I do has nothing to do with you," he stated coldly. He was tired of this marraige, and Zain knew he would be getting a divorce even if he could not win Bridget back.Marrying Leila was the worst mistake he made in his life and he wanted to correct that mistake now .Leila sneered at Zain, she would be foolish to leave him so easily, especially because he wanted to go back to his ex-wife!"I saw the news about her online, she was seen leaving the restaurant with a man, and they seemed pretty close. You know, I can't even blame Bridget. It's been five years, do you really expect her to sit around, waiting for y
