Sherry’s POV****

Going to the event was a mistake that made my heart crumble. When Lyon told me his Boss was getting married, never did I imagine in my entire life that it would be Chloe whom I had tried to get rid of all these years.

I could see it in his eyes, Lyon had forgotten that I was there all through the event, his eyes were fixed on Chloe, staring at her with so much lust which only made my heart boil in rage.

Even when I had stormed out of there, He had no idea because he had failed to notice me.

Arriving back at home, my eyes first caught hold of the glass on the table, and without a second thought, I slammed it hard on the floor.

“Arhhhh!!!” My eyes were red as I yelled at the top of my lungs, watching all the glass breaking into tiny pieces.

Like that was not enough, I picked up the flower vast and smashed it hard on the floor. As it came shattering, I thought that there was a way it would ease the anger in my heart, but no matter what I did, the rage wouldn't go away.

  • AFTER BETRAYAL, I RETURNED WITH CUTE BABIES    UNFORGETTABLE

Richard's POVI had always known that power attracted chaos, but I never expected it to wear such a beautiful face. Chloe. My wife. My enigma. The woman who walked into my world with quiet storms in her eyes and left me questioning every rule I’d lived by.She had returned to her hometown like a queen reclaiming her throne, and for a while, it felt like I was the crown she wore proudly. But now, everything was shifting again. And I was starting to question if I was the king or just another pawn in her chess game. This morning, the air felt too quiet. She was still asleep when I left the bed. Her hair spilled across the pillow like dark ink, her back bare and vulnerable beneath the silk sheets. There was something fragile about her in those moments; something that made me feel protective… and slightly afraid. Because fragility often comes wrapped in secrets.I had a board meeting at 10. The numbers were solid, the expansions were ahead of schedule, but I wasn’t at peace. Not since I sa

  • AFTER BETRAYAL, I RETURNED WITH CUTE BABIES    GHOST FROM THE PAST

Chloe’s POVThere’s something deeply ironic about the fact that even with all this wealth surrounding me:Richard’s luxury cars, the marble floors beneath my feet, the glistening chandeliers casting diamonds of light on the walls, I still feel cold. Not the kind of cold that a silk robe or another glass of red wine could fix.No. This cold stems from somewhere deeper, somewhere darker. It’s the ache of returning to a place that once felt like home only to find that the ghosts are still waiting, sitting patiently in every corner like loyal dogs. And today, I met one of them in the flesh.Sherry.I hadn’t planned to see her. Certainly not at the salon. But fate is cruel, had other plans. I came in for a simple wash and style. I just wanted to feel normal again, like the woman I was before Lyon, before betrayal, before Richard’s world of power and manipulation swallowed me whole. But then, as the stylist brushed through my hair, the air shifted.I didn’t need to turn around. I knew her pe

  • AFTER BETRAYAL, I RETURNED WITH CUTE BABIES    BOUND TO HER

Richard’s POVI sat alone in my office, the kind of alone that echoes not from the absence of people, but the weight of thoughts. The late afternoon sun had started dipping behind the skyscrapers, bleeding orange and gold across the glass windows, but I saw none of it. My gaze was fixed on the photo frame Chloe had placed on my desk weeks ago, a candid shot of the two of us on our honeymoon in Capri. Her eyes sparkled like they held the whole ocean, and her smile… God, that smile. Back then, I believed I had finally found peace, a soft landing after years of ruthless ambition and calculated living. But now… peace felt like a distant memory. She’d changed. No, not on the surface, she was still effortlessly elegant, still walked like she knew the world owed her reverence. But beneath the velvet exterior, there was something steely, determined. That look in her eyes when she stepped into the boardroom for the first time as Mrs. Richard White. it wasn’t just pride. It was conquest. A qui

  • AFTER BETRAYAL, I RETURNED WITH CUTE BABIES    QUEEN'S DO CONQUER

Chloe’s POVThe scent of fresh roses and bergamot lingered in the air as I stepped into the dimly lit master bathroom of our penthouse. My heels clicked softly against the marble floor, echoing with the kind of luxury that used to feel foreign to me. Now, it was part of my new skin. But beneath the surface, beneath the diamonds, the silk robes, the name Mrs. White; there was a storm, thick and simmering, and no amount of lavender oil could calm it.Lyon.He was haunting me. Not with words. Not with pleas. But with silence that dug deep into my bones. Silence that followed our unexpected encounters like a ghost I couldn’t shake off.It wasn’t just about him anymore. It was about me.About what I needed to become to survive.I applied a touch of crimson lipstick, bold, commanding, a shade he once told me was “too aggressive” for my soft features. I smiled at the mirror, slow and cold. Let him see me now.My phone buzzed. A message from Richard:"Board meeting rescheduled. Dinner tonigh

  • AFTER BETRAYAL, I RETURNED WITH CUTE BABIES    A BEAUTIFUL LIE

Lyon’s POV The office was too quiet. My fingers hovered above the keyboard of my laptop, but not a single key was pressed. I stared blankly at the screen, the spreadsheet in front of me blurring into a mass of numbers I couldn't make sense of. Not when Chloe’s voice still echoed in my head. Not when her eyes those cold, commanding eyes had reduced me to a memory, a faded photograph buried under time and regret. What was I even doing anymore? She looked… powerful. Different. Like a woman who had lived through hell and come out dressed in armor made of grace and ice. And for the first time in years, I couldn’t predict her next move. She wasn’t the Chloe I once knew the soft-spoken girl with dreams and loyalty stitched into her every word. This woman… this version of her was steel. And God help me, it excited me and terrified me in the same breath. I slammed the laptop shut and stood up abruptly, running my hand through my hair. The strands felt wet was I sweating? Shit. I hadn

  • AFTER BETRAYAL, I RETURNED WITH CUTE BABIES    BRIMS OF FIRE

Lyon’s POV If I could be in a dream were the hunter became the haunted. Then I may never wake up from it. Someone should tell me why I'm thinking about Chloe all day? I sat at my desk, but I couldn’t work. Couldn’t even type a single sentence without Chloe’s face flashing before me; her eyes cold, unreadable, wrapped in that fine layer of success and elegance she now wore like armor. The woman I once called my own had returned, not as the girl I left behind, but as a ghost with fire in her eyes and a crown on her head. And I… I was no longer the man I used to be. I was broken. My office felt suffocating. The sleek glass walls once made me feel invincible, now they were mirrors, reminding me of what I had become. A man ruled by lust, swayed by temporary pleasures, who gave up gold for glitter. I glanced at my wedding band, the one Sherry insisted I wear even at home, as if it could tether me to a love that was never whole. I remembered Chloe’s face when she walked into the boardroom
