Chapter 8: Don't feel embarrassed

Giselle's POV.

“No ma'am, that will make me feel bad,” he said with a worried gaze, and I could sense what he was trying to do, but I decided to ignore it, I couldn't afford to fall into his traps.

“Okay then,” I said, and I didn't miss the sign of relief on his face. I checked the food, and it was from the new restaurant, it was the most expensive restaurant in the school area.

“It's the new restaurant,” I said, and he smiled with confidence, but I don't know why I sensed that.

“It must be expensive,” he said, and I nodded with a smile. “I heard their food is amazing, and the taste earlier was great so they deserve the hype,” he said, trying to convince me, but what he did scared the hell out of me, I thought he was really hurt, I was never that worried about someone before, ‘why is he different?’ I thought.

So I decided to taste the food, and the taste was so great, I was convinced that with just one bite, the restaurant was great.
