Present Day: It is okay to love someone and not be with them. Loving them from a distance may seem tragic or sad but the love would always be there. Adi stood outside the quaint cafe with a smile on his face. How many times in the past had he stopped himself forcibly from coming here? Innumerable. He had assured himself that she was well off without him. And anyway he had been married. So, what would have been the point in coming here and questioning her about the past? But her appearance last week on the red carpet with Ross had shocked him and that yearning deep within his heart seemed to burn with a renewed intensity. Watching the man walk out of the cafe, the women elbowed each other, raising their brows in gossip," That eye candy is one secret that Faith has kept for so long, hmm?" She had expected Adi to take her to a casual cafe but instead, they walked into a club. Placed on the edge of the bustling city, the club was called Drai's and was known for its high-end crowd and party scene. "Adi, are they even going to let us in? You do realize that I am not exactly dressed for clubbing..." Adi shook his head and spoke," It doesn't matter. We are going to a private room here. They won't stop us." While Faith looked at him with confusion, Adi placed a hand on her lower waist and guided her into the club. Faith came home bone tired. It was new year's eve and everyone seemed to think that she would have last-minute supplies of goodies available only for them... Well, they could have ordered in advance if they were that desperate because, despite the many preparations and additional cookies and cakes that she'd made in the past week, everything had been sold out. And now even though it was only ten p.m., she was ready for bed. But as she walked towards her door, she could not help but blink at the small basket of apricot-coloured roses as well as the man holding them. She recognized the flowers of course- Juliet Roses. They were one of the rarest exquisite roses that the world had known. Looking up, she stared into the stormy eyes of the man who brought them and gave a tired smile," Are these pretty things for me, Adi?" Leaning down, he kissed her cheek and spoke," Well, I don't see anyone else here who might enjoy these Juliet roses. Wish you a happy and blessed new year ahead, Fifi."

As the two breathed raggedly trying to catch their breath, Faith felt a jolt through her. She has just committed the biggest foolishness of her life.
