MELANIA…..

After some time there was a knock on the door. I got up to open the door. I was taken aback seeing Athena standing in front of my door.

‘What is she doing here now? What does she want from me?’

“Hello, I'm Athena. I hope you know me.” She offered me a wide smile.

“Yes, what are you doing here? Are you here to complain why I didn't come to welcome you?” I mocked her. Because I was done playing the role of the white moonlight.

I was never such a polite, gentle, and naive person I pretended to be all these years here. I was a badass princess in my house. But I wore that mask of an white moonlight simply because his first love had been that way. I believe that if I mimicked her softness then I could win his heart. But I failed to do that.

“No, you misunderstood me, Melania. I came to meet the woman who has been taking care of Cyrus all these years when I was away. I came to express my gratitude towards you.” She said with a sweet smile. And I let out a bitter chuckle.

"Quite the acting Miss Brown. No one is here except you and me. You can be yourself for now.” She looked stunned for a moment but the next moment a sinister smile broke into her lips.

"You are very interesting, Melania. I thought you would be a naive, innocent girl, easy to bully. But you just surprised me. Well, unfortunately you're leaving. Otherwise, we would have been a great pair. Cyrus was mine. And he will always be mine. Your journey ended here. I know there was no husband and wife relationship between you too. Because I know he will never touch anyone except me. He's crazily in love with me." She looked smug.

I couldn't hold back the mocking smirk that appeared on my lips. I leaned near her ear and whispered. “You're wrong, babygirl. He had made love to me. And I'm pregnant with his child too."

I pulled back from her only to watch her reaction. And it was really worth watching. Her eyes widen in shock and her jaw almost hitting the floor.

I knew she would never tell anyone about my pregnancy. So it was safe to tell her.

Suddenly Athena’s eyes were blazing with fire and nose flaring as he raised her hand to hit me. “How dare you sleep with my mate and pregnant with his child.

But before she could hit me, I held her hand in the mid air. "Don't you dare,” I warned her, my voice deadly dangerous.

Suddenly she fell on the floor, even though I didn't push her.

"Athena!” A voice echoed in the corridor and I understood why she pulled this stunt. She just wants to play the victim role in front of Cyrus, making me the villain in his eyes. She wanted to show him that I'm jealous of her and want to hurt her because she snatched him from me.

"Melania, what's wrong with you? Why are you bullying Athena? She's still weak.” Cyrus snapped at me. Making me roll my eyes in annoyance.

Before I could say something Athena spoke up. "Don't blame Melania. She's just upset about the divorce. She didn't mean it.”

I felt like throwing up hearing her the way she put up the show in front of Cyrus. Well done, Athena. What are you doing here? You should joined acting. You will get the best actress award for sure for your excellent acting skill.

Cyrus helped Athena to stand on her feet and held her closed to him. Then he looked at me. “I know you are upset. But Athena is innocent. Don't target her."

“You are really stupid, Cyrus. The biggest regret of my life is falling in love with you and marrying you even knowing you can't be mine." Saying that I pulled out the ring from my finger and threw it on him then closed the door right on his face.

Cyrus banged on my door. “Melania, open the door. I'm not done yet. You can't just closed the door on my face. Don't forget it's my house. And you're still my wife. The divorce hasn't finalized yet."

I gave a deaf ear to his yelling. He will go back once he's tired. And his white moonlight will definitely take him away with her. I didn't want to waste time on him. He isn't worth it.

I was waiting for Adriel after packing my bag. I didn't take anything from this house. No clothes, no gifts, no jewellery, nothing. I just put my important documents in my bag and that's it.

My phone beeped as a text message popped up on the screen of my phone. I clicked on the text, ‘Mel, come out. I'm almost here.”

I picked up my bag and put my phone inside it then walked out of the room without looking back. As I walked down the stairs I spotted my Mother-in-law and Athena sitting in the living room talking, lost in their own world.

A bitter chuckle left my mouth as I watched them chatting so happily. My mother-in-law never talked to me nicely let alone laughing like this because I was never her choice. Now that she has gotten her favorite daughter-in-law back, she can always be happy now.

I walked past them as if they were nothing more than strangers and headed straight to the maindoor. I heard maids gasping seeing me leaving the house. I felt bad for them. Because even though no one in his family loved me, this pack member had shown unconditional love and respect towards me.

“Luna, Melania. Wait!” I was about to step out of the door when I heard a voice from behind.

I turned around to see Mindy running to me. “Luna, you're leaving!” She asked me flabbergasted.

I flashed her a sad smile. “Yes, Mindy. Alpha Cyrus and I are divorced.”

Mindy gasped and covered her mouth in shock. “Then I'm coming with you.”

I stared at her in surprise. She was just fifteen. After her only family, her grandma died she was left alone. So the Alpha appointed her as my personal maid. Since I came into this pack she was always with me taking care of my needs.

“It's your pack, Mindy. Why do you want to leave your home?” I asked her.

She held my hand in her tended hands. Her eyes were glistening with tears. “My grandma was my only family. But after her I got you. You never treated me like a maid but a family. You are my only family. Please don't abandon me.” She pleaded, tears rolling down from her eyes.

“What kind of drama is it now?” A voice laced with frustration echoed in the living room. I looked past Mindy to see my Mother-in-law walking towards us with an unpleasant face.

“If you want to follow her then just get lost with her. Don't make a scene here. We don't want a loyal dog of this bitch. Who knows she will plot against Athena using you. It's better to get rid of every loyal dog of hers.” Her words were like dripping venom which made my blood boil in rage. But I controlled my rage.

“You want to come with me, then come.” I smiled at her and patted her head. She smiled happily and I wiped her tears. I held her hand and walked out of the house. As soon as I went outside I saw a chopper landing on the training field.

I walked ahead with Mindy. She looked stunned seeing the chopper. “Is this chopper here for you, Luna Melania?” She asked in utter shock.

“Yes.”

And she gasped.

I watched Adriel climbing down from the chopper. He gave me a smile as he saw me. He strode towards me with long strides.

“Hey, what's up, Princess?” He was beaming.

“I'm good.”

His gaze fell on Mindy. “Who’s she?” He asked, gesturing at Mindy.

“Ah, a little sister of me.” He smiled but didn't say anything.

“You ready?” He asked quietly.

And I nodded.

We walked together toward the chopper, my steps steady and my back straight. Every step away from the house felt like a weight lifting from my chest. Adriel helped me in, his hand firm and reassuring, then helped Mindy in, in the end he climbed after us.

As I settled into the seat, the engine roaring louder, my eyes moved on their own, drawn to the study window. My heart skipped a beat when I noticed him standing near the window, watching me leave.

His face was unreadable from a distance. Then he suddenly walked away from the window. Maybe I was wrong. He didn't come to see me leaving. He just came to see what the sound was coming from.

The chopper lifted off the ground. And I looked away from there with a wounded heart.

“Good bye Alpha Cyrus. I wish you happiness. Be happy with the person you truly love.”

CYRUS…..I was rooted to the spot as my eyes landed on her.Melania.Six years.Six long years had passed since the last time I saw her, yet the sight of her still managed to steal the air from my lungs. She had changed. So much that for a moment I wondered if this was truly the same woman I once knew. The light in her eyes was gone. There was a time when her eyes used to sparkle with life, mischievous, warm, full of fire. Looking at them had always felt like standing under the warmth of the sun.Now there was nothing like that. Those same eyes held only coldness.Sharp.Distant.Untouchable.She used to look like sunshine itself, bright, lively, impossible to ignore. An angel who filled every room with her presence. But the woman standing in front of me now was different. She looked powerful.Composed.Untouchable.Like a queen carved from ice.And somehow…That change hurt far more than I expected. Because I knew, deep down, that the girl she used to be had disappeared long ago. An

MELANIA…..“Mama, I want to play with the kids. Can I?” Elisa asked, her bright eyes already scanning the garden where laughter and excited shouts echoed from the other children.“Sure,” I replied, smoothing down the front of her little dress. “But I will take you there.” Elisa nodded obediently and slipped her small hand into mine. The palace garden was beautifully decorated for the celebration. Soft lights hung from the trees, and the air carried the sweet scent of blooming roses. In one corner, several children were running around and playing games while a few attendants kept an eye on them from a distance. As soon as we approached, Elisa’s grip loosened. “Go on,” I said with a small smile. She didn’t need to be told twice. My little whirlwind ran toward the children with her usual boundless energy.I stood a few steps away, watching her.But the peaceful moment didn’t last long.Suddenly, Elisa stopped running. Her small brows knitted together as she looked toward the far side of

CYRUS…..I adjusted my tie for the tenth time. The mirror reflected a powerful Alpha. But tonight, I felt like a coward.“I don’t know why Athena is taking so long,” I muttered under my breath, glancing at the clock again. Two hours. She had been getting ready in her room for two hours. She said she would join me once she was dressed for the party. I have no desire to attend this anniversary party. But I have no choice since it's Alpha King's thirty-five years anniversary party. He threw a huge party to celebrate their big day. However, it wasn't the event that was bothering me. It's that I didn't know how to face Melania at the party. She will be there with her new family. And it hurts to see her with another man. When she was mine, I never cherished her. But when she's not longer in my life, now I realised what I have lost. I didn't realise how important she was in my life. I didn't realize when she made place in my heart. I thought I still loved Athena only to realise later that

MELANIA….✦ SIX YEARS LATER ✦“Elisa, stop running!” I called out, lifting the small bowl in my hand as I chased after her across the living room. “You need to eat. If you don’t eat, you’ll grow weak and you won’t be able to run like this anymore.”My five-year-old daughter only laughed, that mischievous, musical laugh that always reminded me of sunshine after a storm.“Mommy, I don’t like veggies!” she protested dramatically, ducking behind the couch. “I want meat. Give me meat and I’ll eat. You should know meat has protein, and protein makes me strong.”She pointed a tiny finger at me as if she had just won a court case. “And you always say strong wolves survive.” I narrowed my eyes on her. This little devil. She remembers everything I say, only to use it against me.“Don’t twist my words, Elisa Vittoria,” I warned, though I was already losing the battle. Before I could grab her, a deep voice echoed through the living room.“What’s happening here?”Elisa gasped dramatically as if sh

MELANIA…..The first gunshot tore through the silence.I woke up with a violent jolt, my hands flying instinctively to my stomach. The baby kicked hard, as if sensing my fear. My heart pounded so fiercely it made me dizzy.Another blast echoed through the packhouse.“Easy… easy…” I whispered to myself, breathing through the sudden tightness in my belly. At eight months pregnant, even getting out of bed felt like a task but adrenaline pushed me forward.I forced myself up, gripping the bed for balance before shuffling toward the door. Every step felt heavy, my swollen stomach pulling at my spine. When I opened the door, my knees nearly gave out as I found Fabio lying there. Blood spread beneath him, soaking into the marble floor. His body was twisted unnaturally, his eyes open, lifeless. The man who never left my side, who promised to protect me and my child.“Fabio…” My voice came out broken as I clutched my stomach, panic flaring when another sharp movement rippled inside me.Then I

MELANIA….Four Months Later…..Four months passed in the blink of an eye. Time did not slow down for grief, danger, or even joy. It moved forward relentlessly, carrying me with it. I was eight months pregnant now.My body had transformed in ways I never imagined. My belly was round and prominent, a constant reminder that two lives were growing inside me. Some days, I felt like a warrior carrying the future within her; other days, I felt fragile, exhausted, and overwhelmed by the weight of responsibility pressing down on my shoulders. The pack had adjusted quickly. They watched me with a mixture of reverence and concern, as if I were both their Alpha and something precious that could shatter if handled wrong. No one questioned my authority anymore. If anything, they obeyed faster, sharper because they knew I was not just leading for myself, but for the future heirs of Silver Crest.Raymond rarely left my side. If I was in the study, he stood near the door.If I walked through the gar
