~9A An Unexpected Encounter

As I regained consciousness, I heard what sounded like howls. “Howls!? Those were definitely howls” I thought to myself, as I stirred on the ground.

Struggling to open my eyes, I found myself surrounded by darkness, but eventually I could make out the gray hues of dusk filtering through the trees above me. Although the forest was unfamiliar to me, it seemed strangely familiar at the same time, unsettling me. Lost in thought, I didn't notice anything until I heard a twig snap.

“Who is there?”I asked, swiveling my head to come face to face with pointed, bloody canines.

“I knew you were here, I smelled you from faraway, Moja Ijubavi” the creature, whatever it was, spoke to me, it’s voice like an Angel’s slur.

“What are you?!”I screamed, my fear evident in my eyes, my voice, as I started to slowly back away from the thing.
