For a moment we just stared at each other, before closing the gap and wrapped my hands around her tightly. I shut my eyes, still in disbelief over what I had just seen.

When we let go of the hug, she asked. “Oh Tessa, is this really you dear?"

“Yes, Grandma. It's me, Tessa." My voice wavered. Her eyes shimmer with unshed tears, filling me with sadness. I asked, "Grandma, why are you crying?"

"I just can't believe this. I heard the news you're back, but I think they were lying." My Grandma closed her eyes for a moment. "Oh, Thanks, Goddess Selene."

When she opened them again, I could see happiness in them. "What are you doing here at the Alpha's mansion?"

I was just about to respond, but then I paused for a moment in silence, feeling hesitant. However I remember that this is my grandmother speaking to me right now, the one person I trust completely.

"I need to see Alpha Frederick."

"You went to see him?" I noticed anger in my grandma's eyes as she asked. "That man has hurt you!
