LOGINRAYNE
I watched as Reid lowered his head to my inner thighs while his girlfriend watched us. I grabbed a vase standing beside me. Without thinking, I slammed the ornament against his head. He pulled back, blood dripping down his forehead. A sharp scream escaped my mouth. Panic settled deep in my bones as the blood kept gushing from his wound. "What the hell have you done?" Mira questioned, her eyes turning golden as they landed on the weapon in my hand. The vase dropped from my hand, clashing to the ground. Reid pulled me off the bathroom counter. He placed a firm hand at the back of my neck before shoving me out of the bathroom. I covered my naked form as he dragged me down the hallway with him. My heart hammered against my ribs. Was he going to kill me? Where was he taking me? "I'm sorry," I cried out, "I won't do it again. Please don't kill me." "Shut up," Reid seethed through his teeth. He rushed down the hallway, his grip at the back of my neck tightening hard enough to leave a bruise. He walked down another hallway, this one was darker, longer. I rooted my feet to the spot, but Reid threw me over his shoulder like a bag of potatoes. He stopped in front of a giant metal door. He punched in a code, and the door clicked open. He threw me inside, my knees and palms scraping against the cold concrete. "I was going to be gentle for your first time, little human. But it seems you prefer the hard way. Stay here in the dark and think about how much more it’s going to hurt when I come back for you," Reid seethed through his teeth. He stepped out of the room, his eyes never leaving mine. Warm tears streaked down my cheeks as I rushed to his feet. Before I could reach him, the door slammed shut in my face. My first time. Did he mean my first time with him? Or did he know I was a virgin? No, he must have meant my first time with him. A cold shiver ran down my spine as I replayed his words inside my head. He wasn't going to be gentle. I scurried back until I hit a cold wall behind me. I covered my naked form from the dark, my eyes wildly flickering around the pitch-black room. I could have killed him. But all I did was defend myself. When did defending oneself become such a bad thing? He should never have touched me. If he didn't, I wouldn't have hit him with a vase. He brought this on himself. I balled my trembling hands into fists. I didn't see a guard in front of the door earlier. With the right plan, I could totally escape him. I needed to escape him. A soft hissing sound suddenly filled my ears, and with it came a strong chemical smell that burned my nostrils. My eyes widened in realization. He was releasing poison into the room. I covered my nose and mouth with both hands, but the poison was too strong. My eyelids became heavy, and breaths became ragged and short. My throat felt like it was swelling shut. And my lungs stopped working. I helplessly clawed at my throat until I collapsed to the cool floor. My eyes fluttered shut as I fell into a deep slumber. I woke up to the sound of heavy metal scraping against the floor. I carefully sat upright, and my hands instantly flew up to my aching head. I stayed like that until the pain subsided. I finally opened my eyes. The lights were on now. I gasped when I found Reid sitting on a chair in the center of the room. He leaned back against the chair, his legs spread, while his elbows rested on the muscle of his thighs. My eyes widened as they landed on his face. The wound I inflicted on him earlier was completely gone. Like it never happened. "What are you doing here?" I questioned wildly. He was probably here to kill me. I wouldn't be surprised if he did. "We were interrupted upstairs. And I don't like leaving jobs unfinished," he explained, keeping his voice a cold growl. "What?" I whispered as all the air left my lungs. He wanted to continue his inspection from earlier? "Come," he commanded coldly. I had no choice but to obey him. There was something about his tone, something about his voice that made me do whatever he told me to. My legs moved of their own accord. Before I could stop myself, I was standing right in front of him. He leaned forward in his chair, my breath catching at his closeness. He pushed my ankles apart with his shoe. He grabbed my hands, keeping them pinned behind my back. And that disgusting throb between my legs returned. I became wet for him all over again, and he hadn't even touched me yet. Something was seriously wrong with me. He navigated his other hand to my wet entrance. A calloused finger slid through my slick folds, and I bit into my bottom lip to stop a moan from escaping my lips. "You're so wet, I can barely keep a grip on you," he rasped, his minty breath fanning my heated core. My cheeks flushed red. I tried pulling away from him, but his hands held a firm grip on my arms behind my back, locking me in place. His hand slowly moved to my entrance, and a soft gasp passed through my lips. He pushed a thick finger into me without warning, burying himself deep inside of me. My eyes widened at the burning sensation. His finger twisted inside of me, rubbing over a sensitive spot that made me curl my toes. "Your little cunt is practically begging for my touch," he said, his dark eyes meeting my tear-stained face. His finger twisted again, exploring every inch of me. "Look at the mess you're making on my floor." His finger suddenly stilled inside of me as if he had just discovered something major. A dark smirk lifted the corner of his mouth. "You're so tight, little human." "Reid," I helplessly whimpered out. "A virgin slave," he drawled, "you have no idea what a wolf like me can do to something as fragile as you." The secret was out. And now I could see the hunger in his eyes. He slowly pulled his finger out of me, leaving my legs trembling. "I'll take my time with you," he uttered before hooking my leg over his shoulder, bringing his lips dangerously close to my swollen clit.RAYNEI stood under the shower, eyes closed, feeling the delicious ache between my thighs. Every time I moved, I was reminded of Reid’s fingers. Every move I made reminded me of the way he claimed me against that wall while Leilani and Aaron were a couple of yards away, eating chocolate. It was reckless. It was dangerous. It was exactly what we were. A mess. Reid made me come until my knees gave out, his mouth muffling my moans.I stepped out of the shower, wrapping a towel around my body. I stepped into my bedroom, making my way into my walk-in closet.A flowy white silk dress caught my eyes so I decided to wear it. I left my hair down, allowing it to cascade over my shoulders. I took a short moment to stare at myself in the mirror. My eyes were bright, and my lips were still slightly swollen from his kiss. After everything that happened with Mira and my dad, Reid was still all I could think of.I looked like a woman who was loved. Now, I just needed Reid to prove it to me. I need
RAYNE"Dad?" Mira's voice ran through my ears, and my blood ran cold. I pulled back from my dad, only to see my sister standing a few feet away from us. She looked like she had seen a ghost. "Daddy?" she gasped, her voice breaking. She stumbled forward. When she reached him, she didn't hug him at first. Instead, she took his face in her trembling hands, desperately trying to confirm that he was alive."Dad... I thought you were dead," she sobbed, the sound tearing from her lungs. "I thought you were gone.""I'm alive, sweetheart," he whispered. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a protective hug. He pressed a firm kiss to her forehead. "I'm here."Mira's body shook with violent sobs. For a moment, she was just a girl reuniting with their dad. Then, suddenly, she stopped. Behind us, the glass door of the sunroom opened. Reid stepped out onto the stone path, stopping dead in his tracks at the sight of my dad. Elder Vance awkwardly shifted on his feet, wearing a guilty
REIDI stood on the Training Field, ready to draw my sword. I crossed my arms over my chest while keeping an eye on Rayne. She wasn't alone. Aaron was standing behind her, his hands hovering over her waist as he tried to guide her stance. He twisted her body so she could hold a sword properly. That was my job. If anyone should be teaching her, it should be me.My jaw clenched so hard I thought it might pop. Every time his fingers brushed the skin her uniform couldn't cover.I started walking towards them, seconds away from shifting and ripping Aaron's head off, when someone jumped out in front of me."Darling, I was craving chocolate last night, but Carla keeps it locked up in the pantry," Leilani uttered while tightly clinging to my arm. She had a bright smile on her face that didn't reach her eyes. "Carla says we have to ration because of the war. But the chocolate in the pantry belongs to me. An early wedding gift from Daddy. Please tell the Head Maid to hand the pantry keys ove
REIDThe whiskey in my glass was the only thing keeping me anchored. I was staring at Rayne, and I couldn't stop. I couldn't fight it anymore.Leilani’s hand was still laced through mine, her grip tightening. Her sharp nails dug into my skin, but I didn't care. I barely felt her. Rayne was sitting right next to me. Her wolf was back. I could feel Mia's presence vibrating through the table. And her scent, vanilla and wild orchids, was driving me toward the brink of insanity.Inside my head, Ace was a wall of ice. He remained indifferent, his hackles raised in a stubborn snarl against the woman who dared to reject us. He was fighting her, pushing the bond away with every ounce of his pride. But I wasn't. My jaw was clenched so hard the muscles in my neck ached. I looked at her with a mixture of hatred and desire. I hated her for making me feel like a beggar at my own table; I desired her so fiercely I wanted to sweep the food onto the floor and reclaim her right here, in front of e
RAYNETonight I wore a light blue dress that hugged my curves. My makeup was done to perfection, and I had spent an hour curling my long, dark hair.I slid my feet into a pair of silver high heels. I wasn't the sex slave that Reid tried to break yesterday. I was Rayne, the long-lost daughter of General Silas Vance.I stepped out of my room and confidently walked downstairs. The maids stopped dead in their tracks, mouths agape as they stared at me. They respectfully nodded in my direction, their eyes wide with shock, as if they could tell that something about me was different. My heart hammered against my ribs as I approached the dining room. I could hear the chatter coming from inside the room.I paused at the threshold, sucking in a deep breath. Before I could change my mind, I pushed the doors openThe conversation they were having died mid-sentence. I kept my chin high as I stepped into the room. Finally, I let my eyes lock onto Reid's. He looked like he’d been struck by lightni
RAYNEI woke up in a warm bed, draped in white linen that smelled faintly like expensive detergent. It took me a moment to remember what happened back at the clinic.I felt something heavy against my legs. I shifted slightly, looking down only to find Mira curled into a ball at the foot of the bed. Her arms were wrapped around my calves like she was afraid I’d run away in my sleep if she let go."Mira?" I called out, my voice sounding raspy.Mira bolted upright, rubbing her eyes with the backs of her hands. Her face lit up with relief when she saw me. "Rayne? You're awake!" Before I could breathe, she pulled me into a rib-crushing hug. I winced as she squeezed my sore muscles, but I didn't push her away. I needed the hug just as much as she did."Where are we?" I asked, pulling back to look around. The room was grand, almost too grand for where I currently stood in this pack."The Alpha mansion," Mira explained, tucking a stray lock of hair behind my ear. "How are you feeling?""Lik
