Chapter 13

I don't know why Arthur took away his library card, but I don't want to care anymore. I already know too many secrets in this place; I should reduce my existence as little as possible to avoid being discovered.

I did not return to my room but went to the antique gallery to work. I told Arthur that I was busy and that it would make him suspicious if I returned to my room.

I took the towel and wiped the glass cabinets, but my mind was busy thinking about other things, so I kept wiping without moving the position.

Until the sudden sound of the door opening made me so startled that I dropped the towel in my hand, the sound of the door opening wasn't scary, because inside I was wary and guilty, I overreacted like that.

The person who just opened the door was Arthur. His face was so dark and cold it was scary. He walked towards me.
