Chapter Thirty-Two

Stephan's POV

I was inside the room waiting for my mate to join me when I heard a thud. I felt a weird feeling in my gut.

It was as if I were being stabbed because of the pain I felt.

A chill went through my spine.

I knew instantly that something must have happened to my mate; I felt her pain.

I prodded her mind to know what happened to her, but I felt nothing. I can break through her barrier any time she has her wall up.

I heard a thud, and before I could react, someone screamed.

I was horrified when I sensed what happened and perceived her blood.

I ran outside; it seemed like I flew to her.

Getting there, I saw her on the floor; she was bleeding on her head.

I froze seeing her lifeless on the floor. I have been through this countless times, yet the experiences did not make me get used to it.

I checked her body to see if she was bleeding anywhere else, but I did not see anything except on her head.

I touched her vein; she was still breathing.

I needed to get her treated
