CHAPTER 57: SURPRISE SURPRISE!

DIONNAH'S POV

One week later I came home from work and decided to make Michael a nice dinner by the pool. I made baked chicken breast with baked potatoes and eggplant glazed in honey and coconut rum. I wasn't a fan of eggplant but Michael loved it. When he came home it was almost six. I told him to go take a shower and put on the clothes I had picked out for him. It was a Navy blue polo T-shirt with cream linen pants and black slippers.

I then went upstairs to change and we came down together. As we arrived at the patio door I reached up and covered his eyes. The lights were off so I switched them on and said surprise as I opened the door. He gasped and began laughing.

"Dionnah what is all this?"

"Just a little dinner I put together to show how much I appreciate you."

"Babe, you didn't have to," he cooed.

"Oh stop it and sit down," I said as I took out the seat for him. He sighed and then sat down. I then sat opposite him. "So I made your favorite, glazed eggplant and baked chicken
