Dylan's POV.

I should have been more careful.

I should have destroyed that stupid page the moment I wrote it. It was just a dumb dare, a meaningless joke, but now...now it had ruined everything.

I had only stepped out to grab snacks for our movie night, but when I got back, I knew something was wrong.

The house was eerily silent. No music, no distant hum of the TV. Just silence.

Then I went upstairs to check on her after keeping the things I bought.

I checked her room but I didn't see her in there.

Then I thought of fetching my phone from my room so I could use it to reach out to her in order to know where she was because I had forgotten to take my phone along with me when leaving the house to get some snacks and then I saw her...

Amelia.

She stood in the middle of my room, her back to me, clutching my opened diary. Her shoulders trembled, and I knew it before she even turned around. I knew.

She had read it.

Shit!

“Amelia…” My voice was barely above a whisper. My throat fe

AMELIA. I looked around the environment I stood in with wary eyes. I was not sure if I had made the right decision to come to this place, but one thing I knew was that I wanted to try it out. I was not the impulsive type; I always thought decisions out to the best of my capabilities. But here I was. I was so tired of the life I was living. I was tired of the way everybody around me was treating me. Hence, the reason I accepted the offer of the dark witch. She gave me a secret location to meet her, and here I was. In this very creepy environment that I'd love to get out of soon, it felt like a voodoo would jump out at me anytime soon. The cave was dark, with different strange flowers coiling itself into the corners of the cave. And this fog was in the cave; it made it impossible to see if someone was coming except you heard the footsteps. Oh lord, I'm only trying to change the way I look, not die before I even start. Something moved to my right, and my neck could have broken wit

AMELIA. “Yes, I am ready.” I replied and straightened up.She smiled, and the next thing I knew, she chanted some spells under her breath, and she had something that looked like a liquid bottle in her palm. “So, here's the secret.” She said and stretched it towards me. I looked at the bottle warily, suddenly feeling weird about the whole situation. I looked at the bottle like the content could hurt me. “My hands are hurting, Amelia. Won't you take it?" She said in that sweet voice, but there was an underlying tone to it that told me if I let her wait one more second, she would turn me into the creepy flowers that made the cave look creepier. “Am I supposed to go home and drink it or something?” I asked her. “No, my dear. You're going to take it right here, right now. Because I have to be there for the spell to work. The moment you take it, I'm going to say some spell that would put everything in order.” She said, and I nodded, swallowing hard as I got myself ready. Then, I pro

AMELIA. I woke up the next day like every normal morning. I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling of my room for what felt like hours but was only a few minutes in the reality of it. It was another day to go to school again. To endure the bullying and the hate comments I got from people and to see the face of the guy I loved but didn't love me back. Then I slowly stood up from the bed and walked towards the bathroom; I checked the time on my bedside mirror. I would be late if I didn't start preparing for school now, and I didn't want that. I didn't want to be laughed at by the whole class when I walk into class late with my head bowed down in shame.Being late meant going into a class with all eyes on me, a few snickers and snarls here and there along with some insults to make me more insecure, self-conscious and ashamed of myself. I wasn't ready for all that. I passed the front of my vanity mirror and walked to open the door to my bathroom, but I suddenly stopped. Then I walk

AMELIA. Ever since I got out of my car, I've been getting stares that I've never gotten in my whole life. I was used to the stares of being the only day girl in the room or the class, but this time around, I was the girl with the perfect body and the perfect curves and shape. So yes, I liked it very much. I was in a maxi gown. One that opened cleavage, yes. A whole lot of cleavage. I didn't get this perfect body to hide how beautiful it was. The maxi gown was brown in colour; it complimented the colour of my eyes, and I wore a very nice jean jacket over it.I kept it simple as usual but elegant and classy. I liked how outlined my shape was in this dress; it made me feel high about myself. At how beautiful I was, my skin looked like milk. I smiled and shook the thought out of my head: I needed to get to class quickly if I didn't want to fail my classes. I tried to get used to the wondrous stares as I walked to class, and I was finally in front of my class; I pushed the door op

AMELIA. “So, you think you're beautiful now, you cheating bitch?” Valerie’s voice boomed behind me, and I rolled my eyes slowly. Then, I took my sweet time before I faced her and looked at her head-on. I made sure to have a little smirk on my face so that she would be more pissed off. “I'm sorry, what?” I asked her innocently. Feigning pretence, I wanted to make her feel like she was going crazy the way she made me feel. “Don't you dare pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about bitch, because you're very well aware of what I mean? Did you suddenly go for plastic surgery? Is that what you did?” She asked, almost screaming. The whole cafeteria was looking at us now, and I enjoyed this attention so much because I was about to humiliate Valerie. She better stay far away from me after this altercation because I wasn't planning on going easy on her. “Yes, I had plastic surgery,” I said, checking to see her reaction. Sbe looked shocked that I gave in to what she said. I took

AMELIA. School was finally over for the day, and I was in my car, driving down to the cave to meet the witch that made me so beautiful. I needed to appreciate her; the woman looked like she loved beautiful things, so I branched into a boutique to buy her some gifts. As I drove, my mind strayed back to the events that happened today at school, the altercation with Valerie to the new girl who wanted to be my friend. Ava was a nice girl; she was the type of person who would make all the conversation. All you just needed to do was answer any question she asked. She was so jovial, and she told me I looked beautiful. She's a nice company to keep around, and she looked like she needed a friend since she was new, and I wouldn't mind being that friend to her. Maybe the thought of getting a therapist would have to hold off for a few minutes. I thought as I hummed excitedly and drummed my fingers on the steering wheel. After a few minutes of humming along to the song that was

AMELIA. “Dylan?” I asked, still confused about the whole thing. She liked Dylan? Was that what she meant? I asked myself. She threw her head back and laughed out loud. I was very confused, and I don't remember the last time that I was this confused. “I can basically see the wheels running around in your head right now. Wondering what I mean by saying I want Dylan.” She said. “Yes, I really don't understand what you mean by telling me that you want Dylan,” I replied to her, and she nodded, moving towards me a bit. “Okay, I'll tell you. In order for me to be able to do what I did for you, I need somebody to strengthen me. The spell I cast for you made me very weak, and anything could happen anytime soon. So, I need my strength back.” She said. “Okay, that's very understandable. But how does Dylan come in?” I asked her. “Oh, I need his blood to cast the spell that would make me strong again.” She said simply. His blood? How was I going to get his blood? We don't ev

AMELIA. “You don't have any other choice. I asked for what I asked, and it's Dylan I want. You have just one week to bring him here. I don't know how you want to do it, and I don't care how you both get here. But if Dylan is not here in a week, be ready for your secrets to be revealed.”Her words kept coming on and off in my head. It's been two days since the witch threatened me. I've been a ghost of myself ever since then; I can't even recognize myself anymore. I've been going to school, but I've not been going. Cause my mind was always on what the witch said, I've also not been able to look Dylan in the face ever since this incident. It was like I did something really wrong to him when in reality, he was the one who did something bad to me. In all honesty, if I knew that the witch wanted something like this from me, I would have told her not to worry. I would have said to her that I was fine with the way that I looked. Now, I was burdened with the thought that my life would be a

AMELIA. “Okay, let's do this.”“Close your eyes,” I instructed gently. This has been my part anytime we were doing this. She looked at me one time, and I nodded, giving her a thumbs-up even though my chest felt tight. She closed her eyes. This has always been the way I felt anytime she was about to venture into this finding herself. I was scared because Bonnie also told us that she could list herself into it. But hopefully it doesn't happen like that with her. Bonnie told us that she needed something that would hold her like an anchor to reality, and it had to be someone she cared about, so in this lifetime, it was either me, Bonnie, or Sebastian for her. “Listen to your heartbeat. Feel the magic that flows through your veins.” I said, trying to pace what I was saying. I needed her Tk be in tune. “Feel the magic that has been asleep inside you for a very long time now. All these years, Ava. It has been waiting for you, waiting on you. Calling on you to possess your powers, feel i

AMELIA. Ever since that night at Ava's house, I was a bit reassured that I wasn't going through things alone. Ava's mum, Bonnie, has been a great help to me and to my course. I was really happy that she decided to help us, plus she was a really nice person. After Sebastian came over that night, I became scarred. Ava and Sebastian have scarred my ears for the rest of my life. Thankfully, Bonnie was staying in the other wing so she couldn't have heard a thing.Well, I was just really happy that someone came and took her mind off things. Later that night, she came into my room to open up the letters that her father had left her. It was a very emotional moment for her, and I made sure that I was by her side all the way. She was my girl, and I was planning to make everything easier for her. I was happy that she trusted me with opening the letters for her. Ever since then, though, she has been smiling more and she has been happier, but there's this stuff that she has been telling me, she

AVA. Seb’s muscles finally relax at the same time as mine, and it feels like we melt even farther into each other. Our heavy breaths echo around the tiny space, and I finally remember where we are. A tiny laugh jumps up my throat, and still hugging Sebastian, I slap a hand over my mouth. “Something funny, Pookie?” Seb’s lips brush my skin with every word. “I can’t believe we did that. In here, with my mum and my best friend in the house.” I told him, and he chuckled. “Yeah, we did.” He said and started looking at me intensely again. There's a way he looks at me that drives me insane. And I try to avoid it because it scares me. “I want another go,” I said, and he groaned, and I felt him harden inside me. “You can't say things like that, Pookie, if we go again, it's going to be longer than this because I want to have every feel of you,” Seb said, and I almost moaned. I loved the way he talked, he never rushed when he was talking to me. It was always like he had all the time in t

AVA. A wave of pleasure rolls through my body. I like hearing him talk like this. I guess I like dirty talk. My hands shake as I reach down toward his belt. Seb strokes one finger up the length of my slit but doesn’t push in. “I can’t wait to be inside you.” His finger slides the length again. I pull his belt free from the buckle. “I’m so tempted…” The first inch of his finger presses inside me. But he pulls it back out. I whimper while I undo the button on his pants. “But if I start now, you’ll be coming on my hand.” He traces his finger back up toward my clit. I pull his zipper down.“And I want you coming on my cock.” I pull down the top of his boxers, and his dick pops free. It’s so big and thick that it audibly slaps up against his hard stomach. Seb slides his other hand down my back, down the crease of my ass, and keeps going until his fingertips touch below me. One hand in front and one behind. “Hold my cock steady,” Seb demands as he lifts me. He lifts me up and off hi

AVA. “Legs,” he pants into my mouth. I don’t know what he means until he starts to sit. Then I unhook my legs and bend them so I’m kneeling on either side of his lap when he sits on the bed.It doesn’t occur to me to try and hold myself up. I like the feeling of him under me too much, so I let my weight settle on his thighs. But he’s still palming my ass, and Seb must agree that I’m too far away because he pulls me closer. Against him. I moan when he drags me up over the bulge in his pants. A large bulge that rubs against my seam. The layers of fabric between us are hardly enough to dull the sensation. One hand slides up. And up. Between my shoulder blades. Up my neck. And then he grabs hold of my hair, grips the base of my ponytail, and tugs. My head tips back, finally breaking our kiss, and I slide my eyes open. “You’re gonna have to stay real quiet.” Seb’s lids are half-lowered as he tells me. And I can’t help myself. I roll my hips, my heat pressing into his length. His jaw

SEBASTIAN.The whole drive to Ava’s house felt like I was a crazy person. It was rough and not smooth, I would have gotten a ticket but I guess all these policemen know me from my plate number now. They know not to fuck with me, and this wasn't me on a normal day, by the way; I was more calmer. But my girl needed a fix, my fix and I was going to give it to her, anything she wanted. I already got her favorite ice cream and chips. I didn't know when I started falling in love; I didn't expect to fall in love, the whole point of all these was to just fuck and, you know, get her out of my system. That was in the beginning. She fucked me up; she was the one girl that gave me fuck me eyes openly without anybody caring and the one girl that controlled me, she didn't know it, but she did. She was the one that told me straight-up that she wanted to fuck me; I knew it wasn't like the other girls, this one was different, and then I decided that I would also fuck her, but guess what? I fell in

AMELIA. “You'd have to unlock the powers yourself,” Bonnie said. I was shocked, that's a new twist in things. I stared at Ava, who blinked at her mother, confused. “Wait, what do you mean I'm the only one who can unlock them?” She asked. Bonnie shifted in her seat, looking proud and worried at the same time. “You have to want it, Ava. Not just say it–you have to dig deep into yourself, confront the parts of you that are scared, and then also pull it out. No one else can do it for you, not me, not the elders, not even Amelia.”Ava frowned. “So what, I just sit and wish really hard?” Bonnie let out a small laugh, shaking her head. “No, it's not about wishing, it's about remembering. It's believing. Your powers have been a part of you since you were born. Remember when you tried to take the pain of your father away before he died? Yes, you need to dig that part of you out; your powers have just been locked inside a wall that you didn't know existed; now you know it exists, and wha

AMELIA. “I didn't understand it at first, so I called my mother and she called in the elders, and they all came to the city. After casting some spells and doing a whole lot of rituals, they realized that you bonded with your father a lot. And you would be a very powerful witch, you're in a prophecy. When you felt what was going on with your father as a child, you tried to take your father's pain, which was why you bled through your nose that day. It wasn't a pretty sight, and your grandmother was scared about it, so she told me what to do.”“I already promised myself that I wasn't going to go near any witch business and I kept the promise to myself. I locked away my witch side and I didn't want you to go through the evils that I went through, after my mother and the elders told me that you were a strong witch and you would be in a prophecy, my mother told me to do the only thing that would save you and protect you from Alura.” “What is it?” Ava asked. AMELIA. “While your father was dying, he begged me to move on. He said he wanted to be selfish and keep me, but he didn't want me to be miserable. He told me to take care of you, and myself. He told me never to give up on myself and that he would always be watching. That night is still seared into my memory.”“Oh my god.” I covered my mouth with my hands as I sobbed uncontrollably. I couldn't believe that she had been through that. How could anyone go through that and be fine? She was carrying this with her for how many years now? I asked myself, but I couldn't answer the question because it made me want to puke. I felt like I was going to puke. Fuck. Alura was so evil. Ava just stayed there, her eyes glued to the picture of her father, which was in the dining room. “Pretty much after that, things went to shit. The lawyers took everything your father owned away from me, but they forgot one thing. Your father was a very clever man. He left me a puzzle to solve. It looked complicate
