The world was ending. Stone shrieked as it split apart. The ceiling rained molten rock. The air seethed with fire and ash so thick it stole every breath.

Sera clutched Adrien’s limp body to her chest, refusing to let him go even as the cavern collapsed around them. Her body was fire and fracture, her veins glowing molten-gold beneath her skin.

She could barely see through the smoke, but Kael was there. He walked untouched through the storm of ruin, his shadow swallowing the fire, his smile cruel as ever.

“Run if you like,” he said, his voice steady even as the mountain came apart. “It will not matter. Wherever you flee, sister, I will find you. And when I do, you will beg me for this power.”

The ground gave way beneath her feet. Sera’s scream tore through the cavern as the stone floor cracked open, a river of lava roaring up from the depths.

She scrambled back, clutching Adrien tighter, her nails digging into his blood-stained tunic.

Her fractured veins pulsed violently. Power demande

Zayn cried out, throwing up wards, sigils sparking like fragile glass beneath the onslaught. “It’s awake now! She’s no longer wielding it, the Crown is wielding her!”Adrien grit his teeth. His body screamed to kneel, to surrender, but he forced himself upright. He cupped his hands around his mouth and roared into the heavens: “Sera Lin! You are not the crown! You are not a weapon! You are mine!”The goddess above froze. For the briefest flicker, the molten gold of her face twisted, not in rage, but in agony. Kael saw it too. And for the first time in years, he felt a shred of hope. But hope was a cruel thing. The crown reacted violently, its fire flaring. Sera’s colossal form screamed, the sound splitting the air like glass. The chains lashed outward wildly, striking stone, soil, flesh. Men were cut in half. Towers toppled. The storm thickened until day and night lost all meaning.Kael forced himself forward, every movement like knives in his bones. He stumbled toward Adrien and Lior

Kael froze. Her words cut deeper than Sera’s fire ever could. For once, he had no answer. Adrien fought against the force pressing him into the dirt. Every muscle in his body screamed, but his eyes locked on Sera.“Sera, listen to me,” he forced out. His voice was ragged, but steady. “This crown doesn’t make you powerful. You’ve always been powerful. You don’t need it.”The storm swelled in fury, lightning cracking overhead. Her gaze snapped to him. And for the first time, the voice she spoke with was only her own.“I’m tired of being powerless, Adrien. Tired of watching everything I love ripped away. If this crown lets me end it, then I will burn the world to ashes.”Adrien’s chest twisted. He saw her, the woman who had clawed her way back from ruin, who had fought tooth and nail to reclaim her life. He saw the pain, the fury, the desperation. And he knew, if he lost her to this, there would be no bringing her back. The ground shook. The crown flared, brighter, hungrier. The storm th

The world ended in silence. Not quiet. Silence. The kind of silence that follows after everything has been torn away, the screams, the fire, the storm.Kael’s ears rang with it. His vision swam with molten light. His body felt like broken stone, heavy and cracked, but still, alive. Barely. He pushed himself up from the rubble, coughing, tasting iron and ash. The battlefield he had once commanded was gone. Where a fortress had stood now sprawled a graveyard of shattered walls and burning debris. And in the center of it, Sera. Her silhouette was unmistakable. She stood tall amid the ruin, her gown torn, her hair whipped by the storm that still lingered in the sky. But what rooted Kael to the ground wasn’t the destruction surrounding her.It was the crown blazing on her head. Golden light poured from it, alive, furious, pulsing like a second heartbeat.A crown born of fire and storm, forged not by men but by something older, hungrier, more merciless. Sera Lin had ascended. And Kael under

  • ASHES OF THE LUNA QUEEN   Chapter 208 - THE CONVULSION

The world above the abyss was on fire. Not literal flames, but the kind of chaos that made the very air feel scorched.Kael stood at the heart of it, his jaw locked, his hands clenched at his sides. The chamber where Sera’s body lay pulsed with unnatural light. Golden cracks spidered across the walls, crawling like veins of molten lava. Her body convulsed on the altar. Every jerk of her chest sent another ripple of fire tearing outward, burning holes into the stone, scorching symbols into the ground. The healers had fled long ago. Even Zayn, with all his arrogance, had retreated behind the shield he’d conjured, his face grim. Only Kael hadn’t moved. He couldn’t.Every part of him screamed to get closer. To reach her. To tear whatever force was ripping her apart out of her body with his bare hands. But the closer he stepped, the hotter the air became, searing his skin raw. His wolf growled in his chest, snarling at the barrier of fire.“Sera,” Kael rasped, his throat tight. Her lips mo

  • ASHES OF THE LUNA QUEEN   Chapter 207

The abyss was quiet again. But not the same kind of quiet as before. This quiet was hollow, empty, scorched by the echo of Adrien’s scream. He was still on his knees, hands clawed against the black surface, chest heaving in broken sobs. His eyes burned red from crying, his voice raw from the howl that had torn his soul apart.Sera was gone. Not dead, he couldn’t accept that word, but gone. Shattered into light, scattered into nothing. His fingers clenched into fists. Blood smeared across his knuckles from pounding against the ground, but he didn’t care. The fire in his chest had collapsed into ash.For the first time in years, Adrien felt powerless. A man who had commanded empires, toppled kingdoms, torn enemies limb from limb, reduced to a broken body kneeling in the dark.He lowered his head. His breath shook, shallow and uneven. “Sera…”The name was the only anchor he had left. And then, he heard it, Not her voice. Not her flame. A whisper.“You mourn as if she were yours to keep.”

  • ASHES OF THE LUNA QUEEN   Chapter 206

Silence. Not the silence of peace, but the silence of annihilation. The moment Adrien was torn from Sera’s grasp, the world had collapsed around him. He fell, not through air, not through stone, but through nothingness itself. The abyss had no sound, no light, no breath. Only suffocation. Only absence. His body convulsed as if drowning. The shadows wrapped around him like chains, pulling him deeper into the nothing. His fire tried to flare, faint sparks licked across his chest, the bond-flame that tied him to Sera still struggling, but the void devoured it instantly. He gasped in silence, his chest rising but no air filling his lungs. His hands clawed at the dark as though he could tear open the void with sheer desperation. And then, he landed.A jolt slammed through his spine. The ground was not stone, not soil—just a surface, flat and endless, stretching into black nothing. His limbs shook as he forced himself to his knees, every muscle screaming. For a moment, he could still feel h
