I love the FMC, she is smart and strong, but the men? just pathetic, like so many other male characters from chinese stories (apparent origin of this novel), they consist of nothing but pride, showing care or concern is seen as unworthy of an alpha, they are powerful but at the same time so ignorant

good story, if you can ignore the disturbing social views of the origin country (China?): disgusting misogyny, that a divorced woman is less worth or shameful for meeting with a man, power & money define a person's worth and rights

while the 2nd chance mate starts out as a great man, he then becomes a stupid, pridefilled wimp: he is cold, indifferent, sometimes even cruel and humiliating towards her and he honestly thinks, she would choose him or show her feelings for him? pathetic male
